White Zombie = Hardcore.

i almost have the guitar PERFECT for part of me. I would have recorded it yesterday, but i forget to bring home Joz's backing track. I wasnt sure of the length so i thought it would be dumb to just post a guitar with nothing else.

clearvision 05-03-2005 10:26 AM

Ouch Jake? It wasn't that bad...

kurrpt 05-03-2005 11:10 AM

huh?

clearvision 05-03-2005 11:25 AM

"About clearvision's YSI'd version of Ænema-Ouch."

I didn't think it deserved that, The tone was too trebly and it was just a one take demo...but i don't think it deserved the ouch tag.

ouch tag, who tagged it

dUSK 05-03-2005 11:27 AM

let's not get worked up over it. If people have any criticism of anyone's uploads, make it constructive, otherwise I can't see this working properly.

kurrpt 05-03-2005 11:28 AM

yea i agree. What i would say to that is....if you dont submit something that is better, eat a wank and shut the fuk up. If you upload something better, than talk sh*t. That should take care of about 90% of the crap

Adam Jones is GOD 05-03-2005 11:30 AM

I think it was a harmless dig. clearvision accepted that its not his best work, and that it was done a while ago, and I think Jake was just ribbing him a bit.

Remember, we're all friends here. :thumb:

dUSK 05-03-2005 11:30 AM

If you upload something better, don't talk shit. Try giving advice to those who don't have the capabilities as you on your respective instrument.

kurrpt 05-03-2005 11:31 AM
What part are you doing?

For those of you interested-I tried recording it again. It sounded good, but I used a crappy tone, and yeah, what clearvision said about the pick scrabes..:( I think I might just buy a line in and a 1/4 inch adapter.

About clearvision's YSI'd version of Ænema-Ouch. :(
the whole thing

well, what i was getting at was, most people that were talking trash didnt submit anything. If you they didnt submit anything they should talk trash......problem solved

clearvision 05-03-2005 12:11 PM

Meh i'm not bothered if people don't like it, but just saying ouch = not good, tell me what was wrong atleast...that is the biggest problem with the guitar forum/audio arena. People are too quick to condemn you, even if they can do better, the would rather slag you off than give you advice.

yea, thats people in general. The microcosm that we are currently inhabiting actually reflects the real world.

Thats very true, yet the Tool thread is an exception. People in general don't act like the people in this thread.

kurrpt 05-03-2005 12:39 PM

i would deff agree with that ^^^^^^^^^^

unfortunately this smaller microcosm is a smaller part of a larger microcosm which is kurrpt, so you will have that trickle down effect from time to time

Hmmm... I could draw hundreds of conclusions from this, but I'm in school and this period is almost over.

So what's up with the drum tracks? Has Ken laid anything down yet?

SonorKen 05-03-2005 01:05 PM

I plan to do it tomm.. I am totally covered up with work and getting pulled in 100 different directions. The 2 band thing is killin me as I have full practice schedules with both of them. I have my mics spread out all over hell and creation as well! I will do my best to work on it tomm. BUT my schedule tomm is. Get off work at 7 am, home at 8. Have a meeting with a web developer for Crutch's web page and an internet business I am involved with at 10. Lunch at 1 with a potential drumming studio job. Crutch practices tomm from 3pm to 10 pm, then I have to do laundry and get ready to wake up at 5 to go to work at 7am and work a 24 hour shift. I hope to be able to work on the tracks tomm. morning before I leave for the meeting.
So what's up with the drum tracks? Has Ken laid anything down yet?
sorry Joz, i keep forgetting to bring my mini USB cable to work so i can take ur backing track home to record over. I was working with the original song, but didnt feel like posting any naked guitar with no backing track. The kewl thing about my GNX4 is i can record clean, then add effects afterwards. So i could record clean, submit the tone i use, whatever, then if you're like "dude you gotta do something about those mids man" i dont need to re-record...bada bing bada boom

Holy crap that's a busy day.

You have a 7 hour practice? :amaze:

SonorKen 05-03-2005 01:25 PM

Yea, we practice ALOT when we get together. We are actually scheduling some 12 to 16 hour practices to work on material. If it were up to us we would lock ourselves away for 6 months and not surface until the CD was complete.

Thats dedication, kids.

I'm lucky if my band practices 3 hours in a row before a gig. Haha.

Dried Muffin Remnants 05-03-2005 01:47 PM

I personally would jam 24 hours a day if I had the choice. However, working on putting an album together is a lot more grueling than jamming.

That would be so fun.

i wanted to play some TOoL covers, prolly like 2. I learned about 10 songs a while ago, asked them to get tab to learn it. It took the bassist 2 months before he got SOME of it down, and the drummer is a lazy bitch that comes up with excuses to not learn any tab.....so im sure thats a bit worse
