DW 8000's will be above 5000's but below 9000's?
one would think....

fishbulb 01-25-2007 07:04 PM

Yeah, but then again 7000's are above 4000's but below 5000's.
I made this awesome video of me playing today....It was good but then I realized my sweatpants were ripped near the crotch haha

sad but true
Please post anyways..

I feel lonely.

fishbulb 01-25-2007 07:17 PM

Oh my god.

Brokensticks 01-25-2007 07:21 PM

Well said.

Snarz 01-25-2007 07:28 PM

I heard the 8ks are going to be quaility wise between the 5k and 9k/s so I think overall will be a good pedal. But I don't like the bss plate.Diamond plate just doens't do it for me.And DW came out with a 5K Gold Pedal .Probably old news though/

fishbulb 01-25-2007 07:39 PM

Anybody have a guess at the price of the 8000? In between the 5000 and 9000 would make sense, but who knows?

Just woke up from yesterday and big-day-out. In a word; Tool!
They are the best live band around. No hesitation. Phenominal.
I wrote down the set-list for your reading pleasure:

Stinkfist [with a 9/8 jam between the bridge and end]
The Pot
46&2
Jambi
Schism
Parabol
Sober
Lateralus
Vicarious
Anaema [massive jam to finish, wow]

Undisco Kidd 01-25-2007 08:06 PM

Ben Folds live = better.

Cover of a Dr. Dre Song > 9/8 jam.

Thats a great set list!

Aaron 01-25-2007 08:09 PM

Only thing missing was Ticks and Leeches. I had to sit down on the ground for some parts because it was doing my head it. My mate told me I was muttering numbers under my breath. Maynard was hillarious, he spoke like 10 words:

Before they played a note:
"Hello Hippies. **** you"

Before Anaema to close:
"Hope you had a fantastic hippy day.
Fantastic weather, fantastic music, fantastic hippies.
Go have a bath you hippies"

Futuro 01-25-2007 08:10 PM

They played that when I saw them heehee =)

IMO the best song they play live is third eye

Aaron 01-25-2007 08:13 PM

They started to play Wings Pt.1. going into Schism, but it was only about 64 measures.

rockindrummer 01-25-2007 08:24 PM

The played roughly the same set when I saw them in Vancouver this summer. Though they played Lost Keys/Rosetta Stoned and Right in two. No parabol, which was too bad, but it was a killer show none the less.

I just hope the come back to Vancouver soon!

Sunshine 01-25-2007 08:39 PM

Man.

I really, really suck.

I locked my keys in my car two days in a row, and had to wait around for over an hour each time for a parent to come rescue me =/

fishbulb 01-25-2007 08:41 PM

Didn't you learn your lesson for at least a day?

Chippy569 01-25-2007 08:44 PM

poor sunshine!

Sunshine 01-25-2007 08:46 PM

Heh, I'm getting another key made tomorrow [2000 = last year key-duplicates only cost $2...our 2001 keys cost like $100 a pop ><].

It'll go inside my purse.

Which I never leave anywhere, including my seat in class when I go up to act for drama.

So.

[/problem]

Sunshine 01-25-2007 08:48 PM

Not yet.

If I do, I'm sure you'll be the first to know and last to forget.

Chippy569 01-25-2007 08:50 PM

cameron, you're on the internet. there's like 4 billion other sets elsewhere... google.com/imghp.

Got you interested didn't i? Want to take the chance and see what it's about?

Sunshine 01-25-2007 09:00 PM

You missed it, Chippy.

They were discussing quite a while ago about how its more special when you've talked to the girl.

Granted, there's plenty o' silly little girls who think its cool to flash tha intarwebz, all you gotta do is look for the right chatrooms.

true, and true. but i personally don't count chatting in drumstronghold "knowing" someone... and hardly even "Talking" to someone.

LoneStarDrummer 01-25-2007 11:12 PM

i've already got a test tomorrow and we've only had four class periods this semester so far.

Seafroggys 01-26-2007 12:23 AM

oh shi-

I looked underneath my brand new Amedia crash, and stamped underneath it says its a Paper thin!

This isn't good. I have to be careful with it if I want it to put up to my rock playing.

Brokensticks 01-26-2007 12:48 AM

Take it back? Might as well get exactly what you want spending money on pro cymbals.

DrummingBen 01-26-2007 01:04 AM

Yeah not worth risking it.
