thats an outrage

Thunder Fingers 05-01-2005 05:43 AM

after what i have heard berklee is overrated and you can get just as good teachingf on other places for cheaper...

ElKapitan 05-01-2005 05:45 AM
exept for the Geddy Lee Jazz Bass :p
considering you couldnt tell me any differences between the geddy sig and a deluxe jazz bass i think it is very much both over rated and over priced

Radiobass81 05-01-2005 05:54 AM

The Geddy Lee has more bottom than a deluxe jazz.

I said that i didnt care....

well, Badass II bridge, Vintage 1962 pups, thinner Neck and Black block inlays, and, its Made in Japan....

and apparently more low end(i have never played a deluxe, so i wouldnt know, would i?!)

ElKapitan 05-01-2005 05:58 AM

i like chicken, i like liver, meow cat, meow cat please deliver

Radiobass81 05-01-2005 05:58 AM

He said sound. I would have mentioned the thinner neck, higher quality, and that the Deluxe is active, had he not specifically said sound.

tim_commerfordism 05-01-2005 05:58 AM

Or my MIM jazz

Badass II bridge, custom wound PUP's, soon to have built in distortion, adjustments to electronics, maybe going to be fretless

ElKapitan 05-01-2005 06:01 AM

i play a Stagg :(

jaco jr 05-01-2005 06:03 AM

i play a dean
i was playing a fender yesterday at band practice though

 i dont think he said anything about sound?

fatbandit 05-01-2005 06:14 AM

No, but he might have said something about sauce?

Radiobass81 05-01-2005 06:16 AM

My reading is off. So off, in fact, I seem to be adding words to sentences...

Nevermind me, then :).

ElKapitan 05-01-2005 06:17 AM

i'm tred and bored
uni sucks :upset:

ElKapitan 05-01-2005 06:26 AM

has anyone set up an MX band?
i was just thinking about it, one person adds one bit, sends it to the other members for their parts etc etc etc
has it been done?

Radiobass81 05-01-2005 06:28 AM

Failed miserably, if I'm not mistaken. Only guessing on this, as I never heard from it again.

It's been tried a few times.

ElKapitan 05-01-2005 06:30 AM

fair enough
i could see it eitehr going really well, like that guitarist who wanted some bass lines done, or tits up like u said

argh

kilian 05-01-2005 08:06 AM

tumdiedum.

Just back from band practise  Everything went well and we have made a nice setlist for the upcoming gig (2 weeks from now) but our vocalist is gone now for two weeks. She is going to the carribean! That biatch :D Her sister is working there for her study, so they are going to visit the sister.

Now only the band is here, but everything will be OK! We also made a new song, very simple, but with 16th bassnotes.. so that's still some fun for me ;)

The gigging starts again in two weeks! Two important contests, one final, one semi-final :thumb:

Spaceman Spiff 05-01-2005 08:29 AM

So I might actually have a band finally.
Basically, my friend, who plays guitar, has a band with this drummer he's friends with, and currently they need a bassist.
They've already recorded a 12 song CD and my friend told me that if I join then within a year probably there will be another CD and several shows.

So pretty much, all that's left is for me to go and play with them and see how it works out. :thumb:

fatbandit 05-01-2005 09:14 AM

So howcome... On S&M, Metallica don't make a single mistake instrumentwise, or hit a single bum note while singing? They fail at least once on every other performance I've seen of them.

ElKapitan 05-01-2005 09:17 AM

hello again peeps
fat: i believe that Kirk is a little out of tempo on the One solo......or is that the Cunning Stunts DVD....erm.....dunno......forget i spoke
