Personally, I have three main criteria on which I judge flaming in the thread. 1) Is it serious? 2) Is it funny? 3) Is it detrimental to ongoing discussion in the thread?

Let me explain these a bit further: #1 is the difference between two regulars joking with each other, and RandomFanboy!!1 busting a nana over a negative comment about his favourite band. Obviously, the former is acceptable, the latter is not.

#2 is a bit more grey, yes. But think of it like this: Have you ever seen Steerpike or Cocaine banned for flaming? I haven't either. These guys know funny, and they know how to humorously deliver a retort or direct attack without crossing the line.

The difference between them and you, masscows and Hbp was the difference between Monty Python and 3 retards eating each other using blunt knives and forks then vomiting the half-digested flesh onto each other before masturbating furiously. One of these is hilarious, the other one is depressing and disturbing (and vaguely erotic?). Try to figure out which is which.

For #3 I'll also use Tyler and Alex as an example, and throw in Eliminator also. The ability to ridicule someone in a single post is remarkable, and these three are great at it. They don't derail the thread with a 3 page flame war, they insult and retort a person's opinion and then continue the discussion.

And that is my essay done for now. If you want to discuss this further, take it to the Problems thread. Otherwise, enjoy your holiday from C.O.A. And seriously, it's not like I'm stopping you from posting on Noothgrush either. Build a bridge, you know?

That's actually one of the ones I grew out of. For me, it's [I]Colossal Titan Strife[/I]. Always a great listen.

On Epitaph, yeah, but Onset is still great. The demo is neat too, less wank oriented versions of the songs off Onset.

I don't mind them. The vocals are lame and the drumming over the top, but I know what I'm in for when I listen to them and it can be enjoyable given my mood.

I like the song Mutilate The Stillborn, that's about it though.
