THe left hand looks really good. I dunno why, but I like it. I draw in paint every day in school ... I should scan some of my sweet pictures I do.

I wish I was ambidextrous. I need to work on it. Though my coordination with my left hand has gotten better since starting bass.

^^^it helps a lot with hammer ons and stuff like that. because i have lots of left hand strangth.

Last year, I was trying to'teach' myself how to write right handed, but I gave up. (I actually was pretty good though)

I did the same to try to teach myself to write left handed, I can write the alphabet with my left hand pretty good now! Dunno what it did for my bass playing tho :amaze:

Yeah, but like back in the day, if you wrote wtih your left hand, they'd punish you until you did it with your right hand. That;s waht they did with my grandma, so she is right handed now, as she is naturally left handed

I disagree. :p Like bass and painting, drawing, etc., hard work can overcome genius.

Because of playing bass, i can now write left handed :p

they did that to my grandma too, now she does everything with her right hand except write which she went back to after she got out of school.
i do most things left handed except write i do that with my right. kinda opposit of my grandma.

I write left-handed

I shoot a basketball right handed

I throw left handed

I shoot in hockey right handed

I hold a gun right handed

I snowboard goofy (left foot dominant)

I kick a soccerball right footed


And I can't do any of the above with the opposite side

^^haha i do almost everything both, but i am most comfertable doing most with my left. but then i just swich sometimes. the only thing that i can't do both is play bass. well i can but not very well.

Sorry about the hiatus guys, how is everyone doing?

(dude, wintermute... casual 11's title sucks :p.. I mean, you could have said "all bassists go to heaven, or playing in seven, or lets hit 7-11... but beethoven?! :confused: )

Anyway... I had a pretty traumatizing weekend :confused: I went out on Saturday night to celebrate my best friend's birthday... I thought it was going to be a little get together at her house, but we ended up at a bar instead. I just.. don't do the whole bar scene.. not to mention I am not a drinker.. nor can I drink at this moment in time... To make a long long long story somewhat short, her boyfriend, who is also our friend, co-worker and bandmate... lost his mind after 11 scotches, and the barmaid flagged him.

Me, being the only sober person there, took him outside to talk some sense into him, when I just eventually became the root of all evil to him... I all of a sudden became everyone he was pissed at, and every topic he was pissed off with.. religion, extestentialism, philosophy, sociology.. you name it.. I was the soundboard for it. Eventually he turned to using personal information he knew about me against me... Me being emotionally worn down by his maddness... I snaped. And I decked him. :eek:

This is actually something major.. I mean... you might not believe it... but I have never ever ever ever hauled off and decked someone in the face. I've never been in a fight (fighting with your brother doesn't count) because I've never had to be in a fight. I've always just been the person you don't mess with.

Sad thing is, he woke up the next morning, and didn't remember a **** thing that happened. All he remembers some of the later arguments... but he looked at sabrina and goes "Why do I have a bruise on my face, why does my jaw hurt?" and she was just like "I can't believe you don't remember... Heather decked you." obviously he was all :eek:

Thankfully all has been resolved in that situation, and he has vowed off drinking for a long time.

My father has surgery thursday... they are going to take out his esophagus and basically attach his stomach to his neck... :eek:

Things are messy as you can see... So.... what's doin with you guys?

Im doing pretty good, that whole fighting with friends happened to me before, but he threw a fist first and we got into a huge fiht and the bar called the cops and we both spent a night at the station, it sucked and put our friendship to the tset.

Well, no.. it didn't. I mean, he absolutely deserved it... but still... 24 years... I have never thrown a serious punch at someone. I've never had to. And I probably didn't have to... but I litterally snapped. I mean... we went from yelling at each other, etc.. to me going crazy. I threw down what I had in my hands...pushed him like three times... decked him in the face, and then I grabbed him by his shirt and brought him up to my face... screaming at the top of my lungs.. I have no idea what I said to him. And I would have continued if my friend hadn't separated me and him.

My dad goes "That was stupid, what if he had hit you back?" and I was like "I would have hit him again :confused:... duh... "

But think about it.. what if my friend didn't break us up? How far would I have gone? I wasn't satisfied with the punch in the first place, because my hands were numb because it was cold outside, and I pushed him before decking him, which means he wasn't completely in my full fist/strength range.. ... I didn't even think i hurt him because my hand didn't hurt... but apparently I was wrong.

I appologized for hitting him, and he said "Dude, if I was you, I would have smashed me in the face with a huge rock... "

I guess the whole situation was fortunate... fortunate in that I wasn't able to continue, because the next thing would have been for him to go down.. and then stomping would have occured.. and THAT would have sucked.
