if you are coming down after school is finished, i just might.

Wow 04-14-2006 02:08 PM

Your school's done like 15th or 16th of May, right? I'll probably be there beforehand.

srt-4 04-14-2006 02:40 PM

i think i'm done the 5th
I would disagree with Gav on Off Minor, they are just a sweet emo band with jazz riffs.

But In/Humanity and Combatwoundedveteran could be considered "screamo" if you enjoy using that to classify them. Some might call them grind or powerviolence though. In/Humanity kind of border the line between "screamo" and powerviolence/grind, but yeah. Orchid is probably the most notable band. You've got the right idea.
That's cause I'm good like that.
So, wait, what you're saying is that UnderOATH ain't the total scremotional?!
That breaks my heart.

I've yet to hear Off Minor.. or Malady..

Wow 04-14-2006 03:19 PM

Off Minor are pretty sweet. Good bass. Not really my style, though.

pixiesfanyo 04-14-2006 03:22 PM

Off Minor is the best emo band there is.

I don't see how anyone can't agree.

You need to hear em dude. They are incredibly unique/innovative, just all around awesome. And their lyrics are powerful as hell.

Brain Toad 04-14-2006 03:37 PM

What's a good Off Minor album?

I need to start listening to emo again, I've been on an indie binge lately.

I'd also appreciate recommendations of emo like Cap'n Jazz and Sunny Day, stuff that is softer and more indie influence. Think that's Midwest, but I'm not sure.

deadohiosky9 04-14-2006 03:39 PM

I really enjoy Heat Death of the Universe, but Inominate is just as good. I'd start with one of those two, but their split LP with I Am The Resurrection is just as good.

Yeah Cap n' Jazz type stuff is considered Midwest. I'd recommend Rockets and Blue Lights, Braid, Boy's Life, Bells on Trike, Christie Front Drive, and The Kossabone Red.

The Casket Lottery. Hit me up on AIM for mp3's.

The Great Decay 04-14-2006 03:43 PM

Malady has ex-members of pg. 99, do they not?

Brain Toad 04-14-2006 03:43 PM

I use Trillian, so no AIM file sharing for me, I can find it on Soulseek.

And thanks Neeshee, I've heard Boy's Life and Christie Front Drive already, really liked them. I've heard talk of Rocket and Blue Lights, so I'm getting them now.

deadohiosky9 04-14-2006 03:44 PM

You're welcome. You will love Rockets and Blue Lights.

The Great Decay 04-14-2006 03:44 PM

Do they have a similar sound to pg. 99?

Message me on AIM. I'll make a zip of the albums I have and YSI.

I don't think they sound similar at all.

Brain Toad 04-14-2006 03:47 PM

Thanks, but I've got some **** going on Soulseek now. Lots of emo people to rape, including cheeto-t.

The Great Decay 04-14-2006 03:49 PM
I don't think they sound similar at all.
Could you recommend an album?

Alright. I already made the zip with Bells on Trike, Kossabone, and Casket so if anyone wants it, let me know.

deadohiosky9 04-14-2006 03:57 PM
Could you recommend an album?
I don't really listen to them much, so all I have is their self-titled. So I'm probably not the one to ask about that. Sorry.

The Great Decay 04-14-2006 03:59 PM

That's alright. I'll just look for whatever I can find on soulseek.

zombies111 04-14-2006 04:05 PM
Alright. I already made the zip with Bells on Trike, Kossabone, and Casket so if anyone wants it, let me know.
I would, if it's not too much trouble, because I can't ever find any bells on trike and I don't have any of you guys on soulseek.

my aim: InvalidArmadillo

Wow 04-14-2006 04:14 PM

Im uploading it to YSI now. Ill send you a link once its finished.

Wow 04-14-2006 06:18 PM

Dinosaur_vs_Robot 04-14-2006 06:24 PM

zombies111 04-14-2006 07:01 PM
Interesting.
Well not really, they are from Italy.

The Great Decay 04-14-2006 08:43 PM

Still, the concept of emo with italian vocals is interesting.

whiteminority 04-14-2006 08:48 PM

I guess. Emo is pretty big in Europe.

pixiesfanyo 04-14-2006 08:52 PM

Dilation is pretty good, they're like Tool only with vocals that don't sound overly lame.
