Okay, I'll let you off. ;)

Grr. Go on then, quickly.

Edit: And only if you vote for the Pogues. ;)

What's with the hxxp?
What's with the hxxp?
YSI are tracking links from message boards and blocking them to cut down on piracy. If you replace the 'http' with 'hxxp' then they can't tell that the link was posted on a board and in theory shouldn't block the file.

Does that mean I need to edit out hyperlinks for my song examples on my Classical/Metal threads?

EDIT: And where is Superpeer? Or Bartender? I haven't been looking in the Community thread much recently, so...

Some hyperlinks work, some do not as I have already found out :-/

It's not so much a problem from our end, aoart from not being able to download the file. Just check your links, if they don't work then re-name the file and re-upload them. Or use http://www.megaupload.com or something.

'Peer has a summer job I think, though it may have just ended, so he hasn't been around all that much. Bartender hasn't been around for a day or two. Ken is off for a week. And I haven't seen Chris around lately.

Well, what I mean is if I hyperlink to a yousendit upload (and use the http in the URL) they'll track that? And so I would need to not do it and post song examples on the bottom?

Or is this a bigger problem for the YSI thread (which I've always thought was a rather shaky idea)?

I think they can track some of them, but not all of them. I think it's safer to post the links as 'hxxp' but I'm not 100% sure on it. I still use hyperlinks anyway.

So now youre true feelings come out eh? :p
I don't think so, most people in the YSI thread use the 'hxxp' method so that should be alright. The thread istelf isn't an aid to piracy, but just an easy way for people to get acess to new music. Hence the 'no full album uploads rule'.

I've been here, I just never have anything interesting to post in R&M. That explains why I rarely post in this forum. :p

I am an active reader though, don't worry.

Don't spam up the thread with nonsense like this. You can see the rules, and you can either report problems that pertain to them or not post in here at all.

Saying Amen isn't spreading religion, that's just him saying he agrees. Plus you shouldn't be reported him in here.

Cain 07-29-2005 10:18 PM

Matter of fact, could Corn Dog please be banned? He's spammed up the Community Thread with a single word post consisting of "weenies!" and clearly needs a reality check.

He's also spamming other Report Problems threads with "promoting religion" nonsense and is making spam posts about corndogs in otherwise good threads.

Jom 07-29-2005 10:27 PM

He spammed my YSI thread :sad face:

I reported him in Site about ten or fifteen minutes ago, but to no avail. But hey, he turned around and reported me for trolling, so that goes to show you how much of a terrific gimmick he is.

Site is probably better than here, seeing as Ken has taken a vacation and DBJ is supposedly holding the fort. Meh.

I'm sick of this guy I mean he does well in other threads but he just spams the hell out of the Pink Floyd thread (from what I've seen). I'd say give him a days banin'.
