Ah ok. In that case a telephoto lens is probably not necessary (though always useful and fun). For a digital though, be sure to look at the Optical Zoom as opposed to the Digital zoom. It maintains the resolution while zooming as opposed to lowering the resolution to take the pic.

Get a good optical zoom. Digital zoom is awefull. Also, get a big screen if your going for digital, itll make it easier to see the object ahemplaneahem in the distnace.

Yeah, Digital, the image stays the same size, but it zooms in on a section of that image, and pixalates it and stuff.

Like if you zoom in on a picture in paint, but in a camara.

It would be primarily used for close ups of planes, but also just for general use.

Only 5 on the ice at one time. More likely than not there's about 20 players+ on the team though, depending on how many lines they have.
