I found a Fender Jazz Bass MIM on talkbass that i want to buy although i don't know what to offer for it. It's a 2001 that is just gorgeous, the wood is exceptional and he claims it is mint. Would somewhere in the $400 range be reasonable for the bass with a hardcase?

I don't know what they're worth these days (new) but I'd never pay $400 for a MIM Fender, even with the case. I probably wouldn't even pay $300.

Yessir. Tuition is ~$500 per credit hour at the local university.

That's nuts. Our universities here just charge by the course, and whether it's one semester, or full-year. I'm pretty sure $1500 would get you a whole year's class (6ch) instead of just one semester.

My tuition for four courses this winter is $2100. $1500 is more than my out of province supplement alone.
