So I saw Beneath The Massacre and After The Burial the other day.
Beneath The Massacre was amazing. I saw them before with Behemoth and they performed very well and were very tight, but had no stage presence. This time they flailed around the stage like they were on fire or something, it was nuts. They play some pretty techy stuff and were still very energetic, I was very impressed. They're also hella nice guys. They gave me the wrong size t-shirt last time I saw them (which was almost a year ago) and I brought it to this show and they let me exchange it. Also there was a huge crowd there and they all acted like BtM was their favorite band or something. I had no idea they had gotten that popular, especially after last time I saw them, when nobody seemed to care. Lots of people dancing etc, it was very cool. After The Burial still doesn't have much stage presence, but were still much better than when I saw them last month on the Thrash And Burn tour. They have a new singer, who is much better and more entertaining. They play 8 string guitars, if you didn't know, and play lots of Meshuggah rip off juns. The one guitarist was kind of annoying, wearing khakis and a polo shirt and not moving barely at all the whole time. He kind of acted like he was awesome and we should all suck his c*ck or something. The crowd really loved these guys, which suprised me even more than BtM, cause these guys aren't as good. I also caught Architects that night too, but I'll talk about them in the metalcore thread.
i missed that show im really bummed |

ill have to check them out, i was one of the few that didnt mind a bit of brain drill
|
they're more techy and stuff. but still really wanky like most of the stuff that marco likes.

idk if he's actually in that band. i've seen those videos before, but they never fully tate that he's in the band
|
i talked to him the other day on AIM and asked him what he's doing now that he's out of braindrill and that's who he told me he was working with.
Navene Koperweis (Animosity)?
so ****ing good |
so ****ing good
He's most likely my favourite drummer in the metal genre, so young yet already a fuc king pro. I'll be following his music career closely. |
****ing perfect live.
like, even btbam's drummer ****s up here and there. navene. nope. edit: lol last time i saw either of those bands was the same show but yeah animosity live was like... mindblowing, leo's vocals sounded exactly like anthony gunnells rather than kinda weird and kinda cool like he does on album. |
Seriously he's a drumming genius.
I need to see him live again, it has been 3 years since I last saw Animosity and I didn't give him his due credit. |
seriously? the first time i heard them i was just like mindblown at the drumming.
and the riffs... so much groove. |
Ya I know but I was too caught up in the guitars and vocalist.
That's why I must see them again soon so I can give him most of my attention. |
haha word.
|

he should do that from now on. |
I got The Plasmarifle's album. I enjoyed it.
|
I urge people who like good 'Deathcore' to download The Argent Dawn's free demo off their myspace. It's epic.
|
I think I got that, don't think I listened to it yet.
