Holy **** Violent Restitution is great thanks for recommending it. Wrecking Everything is sweet too. Is the Kreator dvd any good?

The Kreator DVD is ace. Definately worth your purchase.
Can someone recommend me some fast, thick, crunchy, and dark thrash? I've been stuck lately, as it seems Death Metal is easier to find than thrash nowadays. Anyways, stuff like Sodom, Kreator, or maybe a more riff-based Slayer would do well.

Also, I got some Sadus albums, and they're really good. Steve Digiorgio on bass is 'kin awesome too.
For Sadus get Illusions or the DTP Demo. The DTP demo is agresive as ****

You'll like it.

Also, for my list, I was trying desperately to stick to classic thrash albums, but with your inclusion of Sodom and Kreator in your "sound alikes" list, I have to recommend these recent albums:

Desaster - Tyrants of the Netherworld
Sauron - Thrash Assault
Hypnosia - Extreme Hatred
Aura Noir - Black Thrash Attack

And, I assume you've heard Sepultura, but if not, Schizophrenia and Beneath the Remains are essential. :thumb:

I downloaded Coroner - Death Cult (demo), Coroner's earliest works. Some killer songs on here, despite the thin production. Tom G. Warrior (Celtic Frost) on vocals. \m/

Sliptallica: Since when did you post here? With a name like that you'll get torn to shreds.
Sad, isn't it? A name means so much to what people think.

I come in here and read the posts sometimes. I saw the post on that "project" of his and was interested.

RCA 02-15-2005 06:24 PM

Is there a way to "rip" audio casettes to your computer? Those Sauron demos came in and I wanted to upload them.

I've got that too, some good stuff. Doesn't Royce do vocals for one of the tracks?

ForiegnPenguin 02-15-2005 08:18 PM

Sorry to talk about this again, but that Overkill DVD is great. They sound so **** good live. I think all Overkill fans should have it.

bassaholica2004 02-15-2005 08:59 PM
Well, assuming you know Dark Angel and Kreator, the kings of fast, thick, crunchy, and dark thrash, you must check out:

Devastation - Idolatry
Vio-lence - Eternal Nightmare
Holy Moses - Finished With the Dogs
Andralls - Massacre, Corruption, Destruction (is the only one I have)
Exhorder - Slaughter in the Vatican
Incubus - Serpent Tempation
Mutilator - Immortal Force
Protector - Golem
Razor - Violent Restitution
Torture Squad - Pandemonium
Morbid Saint - Spectrum of Death
and of course DEMOLITION FUCKING HAMMER - EPIDEMIC OF VIOLENCE! \m/

Sorry if that's a bit overkill, it felt good to get it all out :)

Oh, and don't forget Ripping Corpse - Dreaming with the Dead.

And yeah, Sadus officially own everyone's souls.
Cool, thanks. I've heard of a few of them, but most of them are new to me.

H*ll yeh dude

I've had it for a while, and before I got it I had maby about 5 Overkill albums, now after I've watched it a lot, I'm only missing to 'Kill albums. Shows you some great stuff on it. I also like the second disc you get with it, like introducing them and all, basically a bio on them. It's a must get DVD

metal-militia 02-16-2005 06:27 AM

I don't have the DVD but is it from the Wrecking Everything tour, becuase I have it on CD. It's such a great set, and i sugest everyone gets it :)

Awesome. I'm seeing Kreator with Death Angel and Vader in April.... which is too ****ing long from now.

Ok guys, to anyone whoever said SLATANIC is spelled wrong...

EDIT: the image is also in the booklet accompanying soundtrack to the apocalypse but it's very small.

I still want my name changed though :upset:

Death Angel got dropped from the tour. There's going to be another band in place of Death Angel.

It's definitely on the Reign' tour because that's Whiplash's drummer *Forgets name, Tony *, well I certainly know it's not Lombardo anyway. Don't know why but it just seems weird seeing Jeff with a BC Rich, I know he used a Bich on Hell Awaits, RiB and SoH but it's just weird
I'll stop with the trip down memory lane now :p

NP: Exodus - Impaler

RCA 02-16-2005 03:46 PM

^Tony Scaglioni is Whiplash's drummer.

It really sucks that Death Angel withdrew from the tour, I was eagerly awaiting to hear "Mistress of Pain" live (Don't know if they were going to play it, but I was hoping they did).

Fucking hell. Nuclear Assault, Sodom, and Dark Angel need to release those DVDs pronto.

Me too. :thumb:
Hopefully they get a good replacement for Death Angel.

Though last time I saw Kreator, it was awful... I left before they even finished. Both them and Destruction had these awful strobe lights going pretty well non stop. It was in a small venue so it was just too much.

King's beard grows pretty slow, as you can see he's just getting it started in that picture. His armband also looks like some big hairy caterpillar
