Any one gotten their hands on an ENGL E530 Pre-amp? Seriously considering buying one as a replacement for my big arse Peavey XXX 120W 2x12 Combo that I can't be asked to move around and/or can't play with out pissing people off.


If only the ENGL E570 had the headphone out like the E530, I'd snag that up right quick. Though really the E530 seems like a steal at $600 for what you get.

have heard good things about stetsbar stability, is that based on experience? What nut were you using?

Im from nottingham so i can vouch for that. It is a good night out. Rock City is a wicked venue and there are a few more good clubs around here.

I used to listen to Satch pretty much all the time a few years ago. Surfing with the Alien's one of the first albums I can remember listening to, and then decided to listen to the rest of his discography a few years back. I still really like Surfing, but sadly, he's not really come out with anything decent since Crystal Planet, and a fair amount was ropey before that...

I didn't even know he'd come out with a new album recently, I've paid that little attention since Super Collossal....

Never understood hardcore. Only thing I've kinda been into is grindcore - and then, it's always been grindcore-going-on-something-else, like The Berzerker and stuff.

Especially don't get Converge. Seriously don't understand why everyone loves them so much.

Yeah. I'm not really into that kinda stuff anymore. I would say I've sorta moved onto prog but tbh I haven't really listened to anything new that I've really gotten into recently... I think the stuff I've been listening to last was getting into Deftones properly. And Depeche Mode.

Getting a bit pissed off at the mo music wise, having no success at forming a band and can't really record at the moment because of exam pressure and finding a job for the uni placement and such...

Oh Lord, I just got to the stupid techno ending.

That is seriously the most stupid thing I've ever heard.

Those two vids were absolutely dire.

There's some good death and metal core but for every decent song/band theres like 10 that are utter, utter garbage. The whole metal genre is interesting if only for the fact that the quality gulf is so damn extreme. Some metal bands are great and make for an excellent listen while some actually (i kid you not) make me think "do i actually listen to this genre? what the hell do people think of me?".

The Boy Will Drown is p good.

To the dude who dislikes Converge, interesting to see what type of music you listen to. Probably some gay who likes Rush.
