Yeah sorry bro, they probably haven't settled it yet 'cause I can't find it anywhere. I'll post about it if I find out. It really will be a great show.

'Sup dude.

At work. Hungover. 6th coffee of the day.
Well done sir.
I didn't have enough money to get proper drunk last night. If I work two of the next three days though I'll have turned a profit for the week. |
I've been doing double-overtime every day for a few weeks now. First lot of overtime is 7am to 9am, then do a standard 9-til-5, then do overtime load of 5pm til 7pm. Suxors.
Jesus that'd be insane money.
Double-time. :)
Sigh at my failed life.

Making all that worthless money.

Ah well, even if I don't get to work any more nights this week I've got some money coming in from other sources so I'll have made rent a small net profit.
ie. drugs
that's how i make my money.....by selling them....not doing them
I have a new phone (yay!)
But I lost my voice so it dosn't matter (boo!) |
Drugs are a gay thing to sell, too much risk. Prices are way high lately though, the financial crisis hit drugs as well.

 Which one of you was a marine biologist again? |
it wasn't me
and that looks longer than 4 foot |
I've honestly considered dealing as a career choice. Does that make me a bad person?
No. It's a perfectly valid means of income.
I'm of the opinion [as is Layer Cake] that most recreational drugs used today will be legal within the next 20 years, so it's up to the consumer to be responsible, just like with fast food and alcohol.
Some drugs are fairly hard, I wouldn't count on them *all* being legalised.
But marijuana should be fine - wouldn't it be an answer to the current economic crisis? It could provide plenty of jobs, and the government could make a fair bit of money taxing it, if it was offered in packs of 10 spliffies like cigarettes are, I would be buying packs a day, the government would pull in enough from just me. |
I think the problem is more in the use than the sale. People don't understand that you can use drugs recreationally and not abuse them. Seems there's no middle ground, just sober people and "potheads", at least from my experience. It should be sold like the more expensive types of alcohol; price it fairly high so it's not abused, but allow tax deductability for those who use it for medicinal use. Price floors can be ineffective in economic terms though for luxury items though.
The reason 90% of drugs that are illegal are illegal isn't for moral reasons, it's because the production, supply and sale of them originate from organised crime and are used to fund it. Cigarettes are as (if anything, more) dangerous to your health than marijuana, but cigarettes are produced on the up and up with tax to the government by real companies etc.
If the government wanted to legalise currently illegal drugs they would first have to wrest control of their production and supply from powerful gangs and cartels and that would require an incredible amount of expenditure and a whole lot of violence. In short, don't expect it to ever happen. |
Well if they legalise it then the price will naturally drop making the drug-dealers have less incentive to deal in the long run...
