dead kennedys all the way
what are you trying to achieve?

ashman 03-15-2005 05:27 AM
FHtE is considered the 3rd part in the saga, actually.
From here to Eternity is the fourth part. Hooks in You in the third part. :thumb:

Eddie http://www.thoth.karoo.net/steve.jpg Try that.

Josh 03-15-2005 05:54 AM

hooks in you is the only part of that saga I havnt heard, its on NPFD right?

ashman 03-15-2005 05:56 AM
hooks in you is the only part of that saga I havnt heard, its on NPFD right?
Yeah. It was written by Adrian even though he left...

Josh 03-15-2005 05:57 AM

strange...he must have written it at the same time as SSOASS.

and about writing credits, in the album inserts do the credits mean who wrote the lyrics? or who wrote the music? or both?

ashman 03-15-2005 06:01 AM

I think the credits go to whoever came up with the idea for that song and wrote the core parts of the song. Like in days of old, Steve used to play some Basslines he'd come up with and whistle the melody for the guitars.

Josh 03-15-2005 06:05 AM

ah, so that would explain why steve has so many writing credits

ashman 03-15-2005 06:07 AM
ah, so that would explain why steve has so many writing credits
Yeah, he is the main Maiden guy. I think he has 79 songs to his name.

Josh 03-15-2005 06:08 AM

wow....out of 130 or something as well

ashman 03-15-2005 06:11 AM

Yep. Dave has written 10, Janick has written 12, Bruce 23, Adrian 15 and Nicko 1. I think these include those songs were they collaborate, 'cos that doesn't equal 130.

icebase 03-15-2005 06:22 AM

Ha nicko's only wrote one song..............what was it i cant remember but i think it was good. Im getting tickets for the Dublin concert............yes i can finaly feel good again..........

Lord Abortion 03-15-2005 06:53 AM

where do you live. I live in northern ireland and there are tons of them over here if you want to come and kidnapp them.............

Lord Abortion 03-15-2005 07:01 AM

rural northumberland = barren for bassists
\ books boat to N.I
\ buys bassist capturing kit baited with weed and biscuits

Nicko wrote New Frontier.

There are no drummers were I live...

GurS 03-15-2005 12:43 PM

To my mind, Hooks In You is the best song on NPFTD

Svimpie 03-15-2005 01:06 PM

I know these questions are the most frequently asked but...

1: What Maiden song has the best lyrics?
2: What Maiden song has the best guitar tabs?
3: What Maiden song has the best bas tabs?
4: What Maiden song has the best drum tabs?

I know these questions are kind of stupid but what da´heck...you only live once...

Deth 03-15-2005 01:34 PM

You just did that in the Metallica thread. Is there any reason behind this?

Svimpie 03-15-2005 02:19 PM
You just did that in the Metallica thread. Is there any reason behind this?
just interested in peoples thoughts...I listen to both Iron Maiden and Metallica so...I'm just trying to learn something from you all experts out there...

there are to many annoying/ugly people were i live :p and also like no guy singers..and my band desperatly needs one...and a good one. right now our singing options are our bassist sings and plays (which he can't do) or i sing and drum (which i can't do) and it would look super weird if the drummer was also the lead singer haha.

Deth 03-15-2005 02:42 PM

Yeah, it would look pretty lame. Just look at Atreyu.

1: Blood Brothers
2: hmmmm really hard desicion..im gonna say Paschendale, although i'm not 100% sure..
3: hmmm like i said before it is steve so it's really hard to decide..i'l say trooper again..
4: haha Nicko is possibly the greatest drummer alive..and my hero. I'd say The Wicker Man or maybe..Brave New World?
