I'm ripping A Show of Hands for my iPod.

:)

I've wanted to listen to it for some reason lately...been wanting to learn A Show of Hands, I suppose.

Spaceman Spiff 04-26-2005 09:26 PM

I was just trying it, and it seems possible... this is what:
I think that anyone who has the talent should try and double thumb YYZ. That would be cool to hear.

Kayetan 04-26-2005 10:32 PM

Well yeah, it's like that one.

good rats 04-27-2005 01:46 AM

ElKapitan 04-27-2005 03:38 AM

so lonely, so lonely

Thunder Fingers 04-27-2005 03:39 AM

 all the americans are asleep now, and English, and pretty much rest of the world is at school...:p

ElKapitan 04-27-2005 03:40 AM

I'm English....i'm up!
it is 10:35 here in sunny London

Thunder Fingers 04-27-2005 03:41 AM

I ment most of the englih guys are also at school...

ElKapitan 04-27-2005 03:49 AM

ah...seen
so, i've got to do some coursework for my 'creating the text' course for uni and i've decided to write a brief introduction to heavy metal and extreme music. so far the the genres/classes of music i've got is:
the innovators(vanilla fudge, uriah heep, MC5, the kinks etc)
the godfathers (black sabbath, venom)
NWOBHM (maiden, priest, def leppard, diamond head etc)
Thrash (metallica, megadeth, slayer, anthrax, exodus, testament etc)
death metal, early (death, autopsy, pestilence, at the gates etc)
death metal, new (omnium gatherum, dark tranquility, the haunted etc)
black metal, early (burzum, marduk, euronymous style problems etc)
black metal, new (cradle of filth, dimmu borgir etc)
grindcore (napalm death, godflesh, carcass etc)
noiseniks (locust, iron monkey, berzerker etc)

so any ideas, thoughts, imporvments, bowel movements or anything u'd like to add/help with?

Thunder Fingers 04-27-2005 03:53 AM

Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir aint exactly Black Metal, they are clasified as Melodic Black Metal, wich is not realy the same..

And Black Sabbath Realy Was the band that "started" Metal....

ElKapitan 04-27-2005 03:59 AM

that's why i classed them as 'new' black metal. they aren't proper, old school black metal but they aren't really anything else
i was tempted to put industrial in there but i don't know too much about it to write coherantly

ElKapitan 04-27-2005 04:01 AM

also, i was gunna mention birmigham quickly:
Black Sabbath- created heavy metal
Venom- 'created' black metal
Napalm Death- revolutionary grind band

i think they put something in the water you know!

Thunder Fingers 04-27-2005 04:10 AM

yeah thrash revolutioners Diamond Head are also from birmingham i believe? and thanks to them we got metallica...

ElKapitan 04-27-2005 04:18 AM

i didn't realise they were too!
thats even spookier!

good rats 04-27-2005 04:38 AM

Rabble!

ElKapitan 04-27-2005 04:41 AM

tum te tum

Thunder Fingers 04-27-2005 04:53 AM

bloody hell... John Frusciantes Guitar Playing realy makes me wanna learn that instrument...:D

Lucky that i just bought one, unlucky that i will notr have it before it have gone a week atleast... :upset:

Thunder Fingers 04-27-2005 04:56 AM

And another thing, the Fulltone Bass Driver give you a MAJOR volume boost.. i usually run my amp on 5 (both post and pre gain) Yesterday it had it going on 1 trtough all of the band practice and they still asked me to turn down..

good rats 04-27-2005 04:58 AM

Very nice, so this Fulltone Bass Driver is good? How much was it, and tell us more about it.

Thunder Fingers 04-27-2005 05:02 AM

It was 1990 Nkr...im not gonna translate it to english, cause you just gonna think i paid to much(I live in Norway, differnt currencys and taxes...)
I dunno what more to tell about it realy... it can give you alot of different overdrives and Distortions(it can go from nothing to full on Muffyness) its one channel that dont realy overdrives unless i hit the boost button(and then its straight into muffyness) i use that to ticken up my sound, and hit the boost if i need something more... and that channel also take the volume up 2 steps...

Thunder Fingers 04-27-2005 05:14 AM

jeeeez... right now i realy wish i had a guitar... i so wanna play one...(i fear that im gonna turn out to realy be a guitarist by heart....)

good rats 04-27-2005 05:18 AM

That sounds like a great pedal. And I can't even find a currency called Nkr at http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert.cgi, :upset:
