haha those are your words
Yes, but I also said Don't Spam, which I would also extend to really stupid comments that don't add anything whatsoever to a discussion and just annoy everyone.

Jeff 01-20-2007 12:40 AM

^^ oh noes. another internet tough guy.

chill out mang. its the internet ffs.

Aaron 01-20-2007 12:41 AM

My prediction for the coming week:
Stronghold closed
New Mod
Bannination of many annoying people
Loss of traffic

TTTSNB 01-20-2007 12:41 AM

^No, I just find it annoying and frankly a bit childish.

Maggot Dream 01-20-2007 12:42 AM

Closing the Stronghold would be a ridiculously unfair move, as every other forum has a thread just like it.

I wouldn't mind a new mod, though.

PandaDrummer 01-20-2007 12:43 AM

i say close the stronghold lol

Jeff 01-20-2007 12:45 AM

time for padwork. im out. peace.

Seafroggys 01-20-2007 12:45 AM

we need a new mod, we've always had. It was always the philosophy of the Supermods that we don't need more then one mod (and that the supermods can take care of a lot of things) but apparently that doesn't work. If Jim was still here (though I'm kinda glad he isn't) this **** would have been done with, and a lot of people would have been banned two weeks ago.

Aaron 01-20-2007 12:46 AM

They close the Casuals and Guitar LOD once they reach a certain point anyway

Maggot Dream 01-20-2007 12:46 AM

Yeah, that was one thing about Jim. He didn't really let shit fly.

Although, he did just kind of bottom out after a while.

Aaron: Yeah, but they make others. There's no real point to doing that here, and closing it outright is both stupid and unfair.

Alf™ 01-20-2007 12:46 AM
you no longer bring any of your Pit buddies in here, because they aren't really members of our little subcommunity and unless they have something to say that relates to drumming that is *SERIOUS*, they should just not post here.

Their internet personalities and posting habits are perfect for the pit. As I said all along, I have no problem with that. Just not here.
You cannot pick and choose who comes into this sub-forum. This is a public forum, and anyone can post here, including people from the pit.

Super Cameron hardly brings people here, people come here because you guys are so dumb and uptight.

Aaron 01-20-2007 12:52 AM

Your arguement Cameron was about how you think everything Hip came from America, we disagreed [which we're entitled to do] and you flew off the handle. If you don't want a discussion, write a blog and it'll be ignored for the crap it is.

poopoogaypoon 01-20-2007 12:52 AM

Some guy in the pit said who the new mod is... but probably isn't going to post regugrly(sp?) because he has updog

Futuro 01-20-2007 01:00 AM

Are they picking a mod from the D&P?

Lol what a joke. I can only think of 1 or 2 people in here that would make a good mod.

And its doubtful they chose them.

Seafroggys 01-20-2007 01:03 AM

I never doubted your ability, knowledge, etc. you have made very very good threads. I've just been getting a very bad vibe from you recently, almost like you don't care and that this whole thing is a joke.

I do think, however, that you are slightly egotistical and maybe too overly confident in what I've always believed what should be a personal opinion. That's just me, though. I don't speak for anybody else.

About the debate things, I don't know which one you're talking about. Charlie's one, I made a post supporting what he has done. Then Josiah made his accusation, and yes I admit I was one of those "Lol pwned" posts. But then again, Josiah's argument held a lot of weight at that time. Now, after reading the thread (and deliberately staying out of it) I'm not too sure. It can go either way, it can go halfway, whatever. I'm out.

As for Damo's debate, a bunch of it got deleted and I have no ****ing clue what was going on before then. As for what is in there now, I made a couple comments that related to what other people said, maybe not directly related to the whole 'stereotype' thing, but that's because I've rarely been in the stereotype situation before (and whenever I have, its from a person whose opinion holds little value to me).

The hipness thing, frankly, I don't care about. Its a meaningless topic for me.

I guess my advice to you is this: if you're gonna post something, try to be a bit less 'know-it-all' about it. I think if you made that hip post a little bit more carefully, you wouldn't have moogoo making his comments and then this whole 'pit invasion' or whatever the hell you want to call it wouldn't have happened.
You cannot pick and choose who comes into this sub-forum. This is a public forum, and anyone can post here, including people from the pit.
You are absolutly right, this is open to everybody. Its just I haven't seen any serious drum discussion from you guys (save for Cameron obviously, and that Tabla post (which is really cool btw) and maybe Charlie's debate) so I feel that your presence just adds dead weight. By your philosophy, I can just go over in the guitar forum and, assuming I was good at debating  , raise hell, but really, what's the point? I leave it alone. I might make a legitimate response to a latest thread that shows up on the main forum screen if I am able to, but that's about it.

If anybody came in here and could talk about anything, this would become....The Pit :p

Aaron 01-20-2007 01:03 AM

Am I one of those?

Futuro 01-20-2007 01:07 AM

make it three =)

Seafroggys 01-20-2007 01:10 AM

*offers a gold duck to Futuro*

so....can that be five? :chug:

Futuro 01-20-2007 01:12 AM

My opinion doesnt count anyway ;)

I think Damo does a great job personally. <shrug>

Aaron 01-20-2007 01:14 AM

So do I. The last week has been an exception, imo.

TTTSNB 01-20-2007 01:14 AM

^ Why not keep the stronghold open...?

Futuro 01-20-2007 01:15 AM
So do I. The last week has been an exception, imo.
He cant be on here 24/7!

Hell I spend these 2 hours at night on here and miss most of the stuff you guys post during the day.

Aaron 01-20-2007 01:17 AM

I think this stronghold should be sticked, closed and kept there and a new one created.

TTTSNB 01-20-2007 01:18 AM

^ Why? The same stuff will begin again. No change. The concept of a community thread is fine anyway.

Aaron 01-20-2007 01:19 AM

I think it just needs a fresh start.

Futuro 01-20-2007 01:28 AM

I feel like listening to generic metalcore

Win A Rabbit 01-20-2007 01:36 AM

A friend of mine wants me to play guitar in his metalcore band. I declined.

So I'm still bandless. :(

Futuro 01-20-2007 01:39 AM

I listen to metal core to see what not to do when writing songs.
