bitchfork what the hell is chiastic supposed to mean for describing music
It has the full track in linear form and then the second track is the same thing but split into 42 parts and I read somewhere that the artists suggested taking the concept of chiasm and applying it to the order of the nonlinear listening experience, but that could be bullshit; I know for a fact though that it was meant to be able to be listened to ether nonlinearly or linearly.
well since you're an engineer:
ryu hankil-becoming typewriter (Korean EAI, empty; objects whose vibrations are picked up via piezo mics)
polly bradfield-solo violin improvisations (American free improv from the '70s, also with lowercase attachments)
are great for study music/not paying attention to profs when it's unnecessary to give them attention.

those should be simple google searches (i found hankil on archive.org)

rowe/lehn/schmickler's rabbit run is really frenetic and crazy as shit/chiastic and whatnot EAI

alfredo consta monteiro/ferran fages/ruth barberan/ferran fages/masahiko okura/masafumi ezaki/taku unami's atami is a quirky, sharp fast-paced free improv/onkyo venture.
my dad had a few U2 cds when i was getting into music, they're awesome.

whitebread yuppie rock is the best kind of rock, you get some unique overtones boy, ride the light train to the galaxy of

lukeskywalkertakingadump 06-09-2011 10:29 PM

it's too poppy for my taste. i also can't stand their image. "the edge" i can't think of a gayer name than that and the way bono dresses is horrendous. his personality is also obnoxious too he thinks he's saving Africa or something.

idk man, i like faster, angrier music like punk, hardcore and metal.

(*The Noonward Race*) 06-09-2011 10:30 PM

yaya

sometimes bono is over the top i dont think about taht shi anymore than punk musicians care about what they're wearing

i'm not sure what that means

real punks don't care about dressing punk. punk is a mindset not a fashion.

i call the people who just dress the part but don't know any thing about any bands but the mainstream ones and don't get the message "fashion punks"
