Apocalyptic Raids 12-30-2005 01:24 AM

Children Of Decadence is definitely the best track off Follow The Reaper.

Yeah, and Julianne is nearly as cool as me.

Not quite.

But COD is great. It is somewhat depressing, the chorus, verse whatever. The part where you play all those 2 string notes around the 12th fret.

Shadows 12-30-2005 01:36 AM

I love every single song on Follow the Reaper, but Hellion is a little lacking. I let that one slide since it's a cover.

King_Of_Terrors 12-30-2005 01:39 AM

FTR is my favorite album by them. Hatebreeder is closely in second though.

Who sang(?) the original?

King_Of_Terrors 12-30-2005 01:45 AM

He said it was WASP earlier, I'm not sure.
All of them.

What's your favorite Hatebreeder song? That's a good place to start.
Bed Of Razors and Downfall.. But yeah you're right, it's all the songs..

I just got the In Your Face DVD in. It's from Finland and the guy that shipped it to me wrapped it in newspaper so obviously in Finnish too, pretty cool IMO. The shape of the actual case is really good too, much nice to hold than a normal CD/DVD, it's all rounded with little bumps n stuff.

The 1st version of INF is the normal one I uploaded.

The 2nd version is stereo so the guitars are really quiet and you can hear the bass way fukkin loud!

Sixpounder live at Wacken I've got also but it starts earlier and ends later than mine, plus it's perfect quality.

Bastards of Bodom is pretty funny, as to be expected from drunken people.
Starts off showing the band, they've been buried under the sand and Alexi is attempting to use his hand to drink, and to pass the bottle over to the rest of the guys. Jaska is in some weird green mask, dno why.

It's then got Are You Dead Yet playing in the background while it shows some messing around and stuff.

A perfect quality live performance of Angels Don't Kill from the beginning of this AYDY tour.

Then shows the recording of the album with Living Dead Beat in the background.

I did also notice 2 people kissing with tongues, like just the tongues.............
...

..

...it turned out to be Alexi and some other guy..... lol

King_Of_Terrors 12-30-2005 10:39 AM

WTF Alexi is gay!? I never in my whole life would have thought that...sick. That's just...

My favorite songs off of Hatebreeder are Silent Night Bodom Night, Black Widow, Children Of Bodom, and Downfall.

IheartSP 12-30-2005 10:42 AM

Alexi always seemed like he could be gay to me...

That new guy is in for a surprise when he hears Hatebreeder and FTR cause I bet he's never heard anything even remotely power metal before. It was quite a shock when I first heard it too.

PsychoticFlubber 12-30-2005 10:43 AM
It's Japanese so it won't be relased anywhere apart from there which means you'll have to import it like me. :D

ALSO

Look what I just made:

Well, wouldn't you expect that it would make it to those P2P type things like Bearshare for people to download like the other videos have? I don't have the money like most people to get it. I only purchase cd's and dvd's by bands sometimes, but never import stuff.

He told me he loved it. He put on FTR and said it was great. Then I told him to listen to Warheart, and he thought it was totally different.

Which it kind of is.

IheartSP 12-30-2005 10:53 AM

Yeah Hatebreeder is just like heavier power metal with harsh vocals and blast beats. FTR is significantly different, closer to more traditional modern metal, much heavier and such, only one song with any neoclassical.

King_Of_Terrors 12-30-2005 11:01 AM

Isn't there only one song on Hatebreeder with blast beats? Warheart?

IheartSP 12-30-2005 11:05 AM

Hatebreeder also has blast beats, there may be a few more.

King_Of_Terrors 12-30-2005 11:06 AM

Oh yeah, I forgot about that song. All of Something Wild has them too, right? Except for Lake Bodom, I haven't listened to Something Wild in a long time.

MRDuCran 12-30-2005 11:07 AM

I learnt Hatebreeder last night, really cool.
Which now means I can play a part from every song off that album.

And no, I doubt Alexi is actually gay, it was just messing around.

PsychoticFlubber, I did actually forget about p2p, yeah it probably will get onto there, give it a few months.

King_Of_Terrors 12-30-2005 11:08 AM

What do you mean "it was just messing around"?

MRDuCran 12-30-2005 11:09 AM

I can't remember if he was drunk in that part or not but they didn't have their mouths together or anything like cuddling too, it didn't look like they were in love...

King_Of_Terrors 12-30-2005 11:10 AM

Oh...well that's good. Alexi being gay would change how I look at him forever..

MRDuCran 12-30-2005 11:12 AM

Yeah definately. Just seeing him drunk is very different to how he acts on stage so the first time I saw him in Trashed, Lost in Helsinki was a shock.

King_Of_Terrors 12-30-2005 11:18 AM

You mean the video in Helsinki?

MRDuCran 12-30-2005 11:39 AM

I do indeed.

King_Of_Terrors 12-30-2005 11:43 AM

Oh, I was thinking you saw them live there or something.

MRDuCran 12-30-2005 11:53 AM

Yer I wish. I've often wondered if Finnish fans just bumped into them whilst out shopping or drinking or whatever.

Time to go practise methinks.

King_Of_Terrors 12-30-2005 11:56 AM

They are so many bands that come right out of Helsinki, if you lived there you would HAVE to bump into them every once in awhile...Helsinki isn't big enough to have 100 famous bands come from there, and conceal them.

Shadows 12-30-2005 12:41 PM

Actually, it is. National capitals are pretty big.

King_Of_Terrors 12-30-2005 01:47 PM

True, but your bound to run into a band at some point.

Shadows 12-30-2005 01:51 PM

Do you suppose black metal bands casually walk down the streets of Norway bearing corpse paint and anti-religious paraphenilia?

Thor 12-30-2005 02:30 PM
Do you suppose black metal bands casually walk down the streets of Norway bearing corpse paint and anti-religious paraphenilia?
I'm glad that they don't. I think corpse paint is really stupid and it takes away from the music somewhat.

King_Of_Terrors 12-30-2005 02:32 PM
Do you suppose black metal bands casually walk down the streets of Norway bearing corpse paint and anti-religious paraphenilia?
Obviously. Just like football players ALWAYS wear all of their pads and clothing no matter where they go.

It's in commercials, it must be true.

Shadows 12-30-2005 02:33 PM
I'm glad that they don't. I think corpse paint is really stupid and it takes away from the music somewhat.
I think it would be great if they did.

Toaster 12-30-2005 02:33 PM

Hey, it makes the live show more entertaining. As long as the image doesn't take away from the music at all, they could wear ballerina costumes onstage.

Thor 12-30-2005 02:33 PM
Hey, it makes the live show more entertaining. As long as the image doesn't take away from the music at all, they could wear ballerina costumes onstage.
That's not very black metal at all.

King_Of_Terrors 12-30-2005 02:34 PM

Ballerina's are too metal for black metal bands.

Toaster 12-30-2005 02:35 PM

Shattered_Future 12-30-2005 02:36 PM

Image doesn't mean crap if the music is good.

When the music is about the image, it means crap.

Finns get unbelievably drunk...my 2 Nightwish DVDs confirm that. Alexi makes cameos in both of them, oddly enough.

In one, Sinergy comes out as a mock Nightwish, and Alexi plays Tuomas's keyboard. :p

Thor 12-30-2005 02:38 PM
When the music is about the image, it means crap.
This is probably why so many people don't like Slipknot.
