Here guys, I threw this in the Deth thread too:
I was cruising the Gigantour site and noticed how many of the other bands fans are there. This is going to be very kewl because I believe you will meet and make new friends or get some good sparring in. I personally hope the former.

I have also confirmed another band for the Stage 2 and that announcement will come later today. I am also thinking about adding another band to each stage, which could mean moving someone from Stage 2 to Stage 1, and I also have my sight on a really kewl new school band that does old school metal (actually two), and a veteran act for Stage 2.

Stay tuned, its gonna get real busy here before we leave for Europe on Monday morning. We are going to change our set list up for this summer (we have to in some places because we have less time than when we headline) and I think you will be surprised because they are some older songs. And I can't wait to see all of you awesome Droogies and She-Wolves again real soon.
SLATANIC-666 05-26-2005 01:14 PM
I was just thinking how Dave would react if I brought a giant replica of him nailed to a cross to one of his shows.

Speaking of which...

NP: Destruction - Nailed To The Cross
lmao, that'd be funny

Since we're on the subject of Megadeth....

NP: Megadeth - Bad Omen

He'd go all Christian defense systems activate! HOLY WATER!

Lol. Ok, I'd think he'd get a little edgy and pissed off about it

Freezing Moon 05-26-2005 09:41 PM

I just got Vio-lence - Nothing To Gain.

This is fucking sweet.

RCA 05-26-2005 09:42 PM

Maybe Dave could play The Conjuring and Black Friday, but with different lyrics. I'm okay with that; I liked the riffs in those songs more than the lyrics.

FatalEnergy 05-26-2005 10:11 PM

yeah, it wouldn't be quite the same.....mabye he would be like "okay, gang! Grab your bibles! This is White Sunday!" *insert Black Friday riffs* "It's White Sunday, paint rainbows on the wall!"

But I would still agree that the riffs are still great

NP: Pantera - Ride My Rocket (Off Metal Magic from 1983, hecka funny)

You're right there, It would be good if they played Hook In Mouth. They didn't play that when I saw them. :(

MAthiAS 05-27-2005 10:38 AM

I hope they just have more from the first four albums in general. I really want to hear Loved to Deth, Skull Beneath the Skin, and/or Rattlehead.

And he just confirmed Life of Agony, and he says he's getting a "new school band that does old school metal", anyone have any idea who that is?

On another note, Punishment for Decadence is fucking amazing! What other Coroner material should I check out?

ThrashMaster27 05-27-2005 10:47 AM

R.I.P. and No More Color are their two next best albums. Amazing band Coroner are....

Anyway, Dave will never play anything from KIMB aside from Mechanix. I'll lick my own arsehole if he does. Mind you, he pulls out songs that you wouldn't expect on occasions! I would have never expected Megadeth to play Liar live in these recent times, but I was proved wrong.

MAthiAS 05-27-2005 10:55 AM
Anyway, Dave will never play anything from KIMB aside from Mechanix.
How do you figure?

ThrashMaster27 05-27-2005 11:02 AM
How do you figure?
Well, I suppose that was a rather general statement. I suppose he could pull out select tracks from KIMB on the rare occasion. Aside from Mechanix, I really can't see any other tracks getting played.

RCA 05-27-2005 11:20 AM

I would like to hear Tornado of Souls.

MAthiAS 05-27-2005 11:50 AM

He always plays Tornado of Souls, its one of their concert staples along with Holy Wars, Peace Sells, Hangar 18, Symphony, In My Darkest Hour, and Sweating Bullets.

Any idea what this "new school band that does old school metal" could be?

GraveRobbersINC 05-27-2005 12:13 PM

Also, Paint the Devil On The Wall! What would that be now? I'm also ok with changing lyrics or whatever just for the sake of playing it but still..would be weird.

I hope Dave has his shit wrong, and Agent Steel end up being that band.

metal-militia 05-27-2005 05:31 PM

Conjuring is one of Megadeths best! WHats Mustaine thinking?

NP Toxik - Shotgun Logic

That would be very cool. I doubt it though.:(

ForiegnPenguin 05-27-2005 08:10 PM

The day I hear Looking Down the Cross live will be a good day.

RCA 05-27-2005 09:35 PM
The day I hear Looking Down the Cross live will be a good day.
Indeed.

It will mean that 1) Deth played that monster of a song and 2) Dave has stopped over-fellating Jesus.

FatalEnergy 05-28-2005 02:58 AM

If anyone cares to see the funniest bullcrap ever, here you go. I figured you would all like to see this pathetic sell out crap.

NP: Tormentor (Pre-Kreator) - Satan's Day

Does anyone use Audioscrobbler here? Would be interesting.

a8o 05-28-2005 04:18 AM

And...a request. Does anybody have Jeff Hanneman's Reign in Blood demos? This http://www.metal-archives.com/release.php?id=14442 is all I can find about them - nothing on soulseek or anything. I was hoping somebody might have them.

np: Primus - Fish On

Man! I'd still give my left kidney AND testicle to see Maiden and Ozzy before stupidity consumes him entirely and forces him into the real retirement he's been thinking of for years.

Yes i use Audioscrobbler.

Surely you could've put all that in 1 post?

Apocalyptic Raids 05-28-2005 05:11 AM

I use Audioscrobbler.

a8o: I've got the version of Raining Blood that is on there. I would upload it but its not on this pc.

EDIT: Raining Blood - Jeff Hanneman Home Recording

Chu 05-28-2005 05:17 AM

Edit: I just read their history, nevermind.

GraveRobbersINC 05-28-2005 06:13 AM

I use Audioscrobbler but it never works out, I works for a few days and then Winamp ****s up. Anyway, yeah Will Smith at Ozzfest? Rediculous!

Apocalyptic Raids 05-28-2005 06:34 AM

I know, I don't know WHAT Sharon Osbourne was thinking.

metal-militia 05-28-2005 06:57 AM

There will probably some crowd trouble when she goes on. What were they thinking wanting to go on Ozzfest?

Apocalyptic Raids 05-28-2005 07:45 AM

Yeah, you would have to be pretty fucking stupid to think that a band like that will be liked at a festival with thousands of metalheads.

GraveRobbersINC 05-28-2005 09:00 AM

Well you have to remember she is calling it a "metal band".

ForiegnPenguin 05-28-2005 09:08 AM

I hope they are not serious.

ThrashMaster27 05-28-2005 09:13 AM

I don't care.

Ozzfest is crap anyway.

RavenousMetalist87 05-28-2005 09:58 AM
I don't care.

Ozzfest is crap anyway.
Exactly. My friends are like "omg, ozzfest!"

I'm just like "It was better last year...save your money for something that really matters...like all the re-releases and goodies that are coming out that are actually worthing getting."

I still need to make that list of what I need to get.

FatalEnergy 05-28-2005 01:20 PM

I went last year just to see Priest, Sabbath, Slayer, and BLS .Which was good, those four made up for all the crappy bands. This year is a totally different story, I'm only looking forward to Iron Maiden, because I already saw BLS, and Black Sabbath last time. I'm not sure if I want to wait through 10 hours of pure shit, just to get to 45 minutes of godly Maiden, It dosen't seem worth it

ForiegnPenguin 05-28-2005 04:10 PM

Yeah, if it were not for Iron Maiden, I wouldn't go, along with many other people.

RCA 05-28-2005 04:50 PM

I'm going to Wacken.

Wacken > Ozzfest

FatalEnergy 05-28-2005 05:42 PM

I would love to go to Wacken, but I'm like....... not on that continent

I also decided it was not worth the wait at Ozzfest for about 3-4 good bands, especially for the price. So just try and catch Maiden on their next world tour. Plus they're only playing stuff from their first 4 albums because of the "early days" dvd, which isn't bad but they have so much other good stuff.

RCA 05-28-2005 06:55 PM
I would love to go to Wacken, but I'm like....... not on that continent
Neither am I. Gotta love loaded grandparents!

Corporal: I remember you (or somebody) saying you had a Razor live DVD or a live show on disc. Is their anyway you could upload it and send it to me? I'm dying for some live Razor stuff.
