Lars was never a spectacular drummer. Anybody who loves Metallica is a bit biased, but if you really listen, there isn't anything special there. He just keeps time.

Metallica fanboys need to learn that they are not the most talented band ever.

Lars was experimenting on St. Anger! Thats why they sound funny! He wanted a slightly bit more hollow sound! Anyway: Just because you are from Denmark you can actually be a good musician!

My friend of misery is a quite nice song as well as master of puppets!

I don't understand why people slate Lars off so much. He's a lot better than a lot of drummers. Look at any famous band (e.g. The Strokes, The Darkness, The Offspring, etc) and Lars is much better than their drummers. I'm not saying he is the best in the world because there are drummers better than Ulrich but he does not suck.

That's because he can't hit the double bass fast. You've heard about how they double tracked Dyers Eve, right? Double bass is not about being cool, its about sonic potential. Metallica could use some double bass, it would probably make their recent music sound non-shytty.

Look I'm not trying to be a prick, but I call em as I see em. I don't see how people can rave about Lars when he does absolutely nothing special. The only reason he gets credit is because he is in Metallica. If he was in another band, nobody would give a rats arse about him.
