I like Plus 44 much better. I can't get enough of that song. Where can I get the AVA one?
The Adventure > No It Isn't. In my opinion.

Pazz 02-05-2006 11:54 AM

The Adventure=No It Isn't

FTW.

/agrees.

HitHardDrums55 02-05-2006 12:11 PM

what is FTW? and i'll probably buy both albums when they come out..just cause mark and tom are both awesome and i like both of those songs a lot

Dead Star 02-05-2006 12:13 PM

For The Win.

TA >>>>>>>>>>>>>> NII

+44 sounds generic, TA dosnt.

It hurts me to say that because ive been a firm beleaver that Mark owns Tom at song writing, but not in this case.

B 02-05-2006 12:39 PM

Yeah the lyrics are good until the one dreaded line where i die a little inside.

Pazz 02-05-2006 12:41 PM

"Let's slit our wrist"

Surtr 02-05-2006 12:47 PM

AVA > Plus Forty-Four imo

I love hearing Tom's voice again, this song is awesome.

dancetomdance182 02-05-2006 01:21 PM

I think it also has to due with the fact that No It Isn't sounds so simple and uncomplete. I bet the version that we all heard isn't the one that is going to be on the record. The Adventure seems like the final copy of the song with the complete mixing and mastering. That's why I like TA better.

HitHardDrums55 02-05-2006 01:23 PM

you kind of have to be into the whole bloc party/reggie and the full effect/postal service type of stuff i guess to really be into +44, judging from their one song

i dont really think it's fair to say which band is better when they each only have one song released actually...for example: say Straylight Run and Taking Back Sunday were both planning on releasing their first album around the same time and their first single was released within a month or 2 of each other...say Straylight Run decided to use Tool Sheds and Hot Tubs, while Taking Back Sunday released Cute Without The E. i know i would like Cute Without The E a LOT more than Tool Sheds and Hot Tubs...and i'm sure a lot of people would agree. but in my opinion Straylight Run is the better band.

Bad Blood 02-05-2006 01:49 PM

The only thing I can imagine hating about both these two albums (well, mainly AVA) is that they will have the biggest amount of fanboys/girls ever.

It'll be a new generation and Plus 44 and AVA will get singled out and be one of those bands which are either: Loved (by 11 year olds) Or hated (by everyone else just because they will have so many teeny fans).

[/Rant]

Bad Blood 02-05-2006 02:11 PM

angels-and-airwaves.com is forbidden.

Could that be about the leak?

DJ Ducksauce 02-05-2006 02:49 PM

I'm pretty sure that's it.

AVA Myspace bulletin:
Hey everybody, I am honored and humbled that my new band has gotten all this attention. Of course I had not planned for it or my song to come out so quickly, but it is so cool to finally see the electricity build in all your lives....the version you are hearing is not the actual final version, but a rough concept...I have been working restless nights on a cool short film that was to debut the actual song The Adventure within a few short days....it will be released within the next 2 weeks with the launch of our website.

I love that my fans are the coolest and smartest out there, just as I thought you all understood my message...that if you are open to have a meaningful life and if you are ready to do something positive ...then I will give you the soundtrack, and together, maybe we can change the world, if not just ourselves.

And there is no way anybody out there can even guess how much of myself I put on this album... When I was in the 7th grade and my dad got diagnosed with Leukemia it tore me and my family to pieces... When my brother went to war in Iraq it made me so angry that the world could be so lost...And when the band that I started slowly started to melt away, it gave me the dreaded first hand knowledge of what its like to lose two of your best friends...

please stay open minded as I try to give you more than an album, and more than just a cool punk-rock tune, because I have already done that. But this is something different. I have an idea, an honest experiment to inspire you...just trust me, I wont let you down....and maybe, just maybe this all might be as good as you all hope and believe it to be..

that sounds pretty sweet. I like what he's saying, things like "trust me" etc, hes realy conviced by this, and i am begining to be too, especialy if that version is only like a demo copy.

At least he's cool with it being leaked.

DJ Ducksauce 02-05-2006 06:23 PM

Tom might be, but I guess the AVA staff wasn't. Well, if it's not the final version, I might have something to look forward too.

This is getting me hyped up about AVA again now.

B 02-05-2006 06:29 PM

Yo Tom is a cool dude even if he is a bit arrogant.

I could so meet him in a real life and be buddies and we'd skate and jam but I suck so I'd like play 3 power chords and stuff.

Untitled 02-05-2006 06:29 PM

Its good promotion though isnt it.

I think all bands should release 1 song at least for free download before an album just to give people a taster. A lot of people might not buy an album by a new band incase they dont like it and stuff.

DJ Ducksauce 02-05-2006 06:30 PM

You could play All the Small Things at least then. :p

Tom's stuff isn't really hard to play usually. Only one I've had some trouble with is Wasting Time. That's a fun riff though.

Butler: Most singles on the radio are pretty much that.

B 02-05-2006 06:31 PM

I agree butler.

It's hard to buy an album when you might be wasting your money, specially if it's a brand new band. And even more so because cds are kind of expensive.

Justin: I can play almost all their stuff too :p. Dude Ranch/Cheshire Cat era stuff is more fun to play.

DJ Ducksauce 02-05-2006 06:33 PM

M+Ms is so fun to play with all of the pull offs and hammer ons.

I think the most fun thing to play would either be Anthem Pt. 2 or Ben Wah Balls.

B 02-05-2006 06:35 PM

The intro to Anthem part 2 was one of the first things I could ever play lmao.

I like playing the song "boring".. I think that's what song it is..

DJ Ducksauce 02-05-2006 06:37 PM

I'm not saying Anthem Pt. 2 is hard, it's just fun.

I never looked up the tabs for Boring.

B 02-05-2006 06:39 PM

I know you weren't saying it was hard, I just think it's funny that it's the first thing I could play yet I thought it was so hard. i only played with one finger back then.

DJ Ducksauce 02-05-2006 06:41 PM

oh...

How'd playing with 1 finger work out? :amaze:

B 02-05-2006 06:43 PM

It was hard. Oh, I lied it's not boring it's touchdown boy. that's a fun song.

Untitled 02-05-2006 06:44 PM

I love this song more then ever now.

I CANNOT WIAT FOR THE FUKING ALBUM!!

DJ Ducksauce 02-05-2006 06:44 PM

cheap...

deleting posts isn't cool man.

I haven't listen'd to CC in a while. Is that the one where they kick him in the groing?

DJ Ducksauce 02-05-2006 06:46 PM
