It has nothing to do with bulding the basses, just whatever. It's just the regular parallel and series formulae, and L= tΛ /2 for the harmonics, where the variable “t” is the number of the overtone (1 is the fundamental tone, 2 is the first overtone, 3 is the second overtone, etc…), and the variable “Λ” is the wavelength of the fundamental tone, and the formula l/1.0595^x for fret spacings, where the L is the scale length and "x" is the desired fret.
