why is it that u go to an all u can eat thinking u'll completely destroy the place and only end up having half a bowl of salad and a glass of tap water?
Yeah, that is weird. Probably because the food is sh!t. |
there's a lot more English peeps on the bass forums than i thought there was
|
So... I'm making a presentation about the mathmatics behind bass playing, anyone have any nifty formulas? I've got both the parallel and series equasions for ohmage, but that's it. I'd also like a map of open harmonics if anyone can find one...
*asks Gav* |

*asks Gav*
find the frequencies or wavelenghts of certain notes the formula is: velocity of sound= frequency X wavelenght :thumb: |
Hmm...i think im gonna boil me strings.
|
*puts notes in neal's g-string*
|
ha, good call :thumb:
There aren't too many 'all you can eat' places where I live. I live in England too, where are you from? |
*throws pennies at Neal*
find the frequencies or wavelenghts of certain notes
Would you care to explain what the velocity of sound is?
Good point. |
Would you care to explain what the velocity of sound is?
through air that is aprox. 20 degrees Celcius, the speed of sound is roughly 431 meters per second the wavelength is done in meters (1 centimeter= .01 of a meter, milimeter= .001 so on so on) and frequeny is done in hertz (Hz) look an any physics website and it will tell you all about the physics of sound. |
Hmm. I think you'll find a lot more English people around at certain times of the day. Like now. When we're not at work/school, and have finished chuffin' around with mates for the day. Some of us are just here all day :upset:

Velocity = speed :thumb: |
Didn't Warwick just have a bass called the Cruiser? It looks like they renamed it the Spyder...

ah sod it, i'm going to get an early night
toodles MX, and don't forget to check out my friends page http://www.soundclick.com/bands/writePage.cfm?bandid=235668&bandnamesave=witekschmitek he'll be upset if u dont!!! |
Velocity = speed
:thumb:
Velocity is a vector quantity whilst speed is scalar. Both measure the speed of an object, but velocity takes into account the direction of the object ie/ the rate at which an object changes it's position. |
Didn't Warwick just have a bass called the Cruiser? It looks like they renamed it the Spyder...
http://www.warwickbass.com/basses/cruiser.html
I doubt it... JE's Alembic sig was called the Spyder... so thats probably why this is. Just like the Buzzard being named the same as his Status-Graphite sig. |

I think.
Psssh same thing. I only have a basic understanding of Physics, if you'd asked me 6 months ago i could have told you that but i dropped it for College so have forgotten much of what i once knew... |
