Some guy jumps on stage, tries to hug maynard. Maynard looks like hes gonna hug him, then throws him on to his back and sings the remaining part of pu**** sitting on the guys back.

So I was at FYE today looking at cds, came across Tool, and the first CD in there was "A piano tribute to Tool". It was interesting, very haunting, mainly because of the lack of any other instruments. There was also a classical gothic tribute to Tool, or something to that effect, not as good though...
|
The NYC one is where the two guys are saying her is tool you faggots I only ahve some videos of that show the sound is great and the video on the backround is class aswell.
|
there are a zillion tributes to Tool, oddly i ahvnt liekd any yet I liked the on tribute thats been made to apc
|
I heard some stuff off the piano one (the patient I think) and it was good the industrial thing or goth in most definitely crap.
|

:amaze:
|
I didnt know they did a cover of Sober, Im anxiouse to hear it.
|
I'm not a big fan of Staind. The only thing that partially sets them apart from radio rock is their vocalist. That guy is pretty amazing. Other than that, I see nothing good in Staind. With that said, maybe the cover is actually good, since Sober is mainly driven by Maynard.
|
I didnt know they did a cover of Sober, Im anxiouse to hear it.
I think it's acoustic. Could be wrong though. |
Yeah, i've heard that staind cover. I don't think it was acoustic though (it might be, I don't remember clearly). Nothing too great...I didn't think so anyway. Limp Bizkit also did a cover of 'Opiate', I think...Nothing too great there either.
|
/hits upside down satanic post milestone
Congrats. :confetti: Anyways, an acoustic version wouldn't be very interesting. I doubt it would sound very good though, because the song is supposed to be very detuned, for lack of a better word, and acoustics don't really pull that off well. :-/ I'd have to hear it to judge it though. |
Limp Bizkit also did a cover of 'Opiate', I think...Nothing too great there either.
:amaze: ^^^ just look at the smiley. Anyway I bet they did a decent job aside from Fred Durst. He probably butchered it like everything else in this world. |
Congrats. :confetti:
Huh? |
Dammit. When I saw that post, you had 999 posts.
upside down satanic post.. :( Crap, my allusions suck |

How'd that Piano one sound? And what tracks are on it? I think that would be interesting...if done properly... |

Staind's version is far too slow. Aaron should have done a good job of it, given his voice, but he struggled. And please, never post the link to Fred 'The Shred' Durst butchering any tool ever please |

by the way the OK show is ok, danney proves that hes actually a human being by ****ing up the solo to 46 and 2 on that vid
What video is this, I have 2 Live 46 & 2 clips One from New York and the other im not sure where it is, just has "Tool - 46 & 2 - (HI-RES) 06-08-01 Live in Concert bootleg" if that is'nt the same as your one, whats the video like incase we have same vid with diff names, i want to see him stuff up :P B.t.w - Does anyone else think the people that video tape these shows have absolutely no idea about the songs because all they do i leave the Recorder on Maynard while the best parts of the intruments are missed, i dont mind seeing the singer but we see him 95% of the time. |
Yeah, that's true. They always take the camera off of the person who it should be on.
|
