Still loving Ryan Adams. It's looking like a long term relationship.
It's good to see more people listening to Ryan Adams. Well done. |

I have half of Rock N Roll on my computer, pretty decent, my brothers a huge fan and I usually like what I hear.
I've been listening to the leaked Babyshambles album non-stop since it leaked. Pretty solid album apart from a minor dip in the middle, there are a few classics on there too. |
The Feelies, nice. I've been wanting to check them out for a while now. Only thing I've heard is a Decemberists cover. What would you recommend?
Like NPC said, Crazy Rhythms is essential. The rest of their catalog ain't half bad either, but that's the album to get. |
the Pop Group
Excellent band. I've stopped listening to Husker Du, and am now listening to Stereolab for the first time. My first impression is quite good. |

A Tribe Called Quest - The Low End Theory Beck - Mellow Gold
That's my favorite album out of their catalogue. |
The Clash - London Calling
Shawshank Redemption OST |
I've just got back into Yes - Tales From Topographic Oceans again, possibly the single most conceptual and cerebral album of all time. However, when the whole band entered for the first time, I literally had goosebumps and the hair on my arms was standing right straight up.

The beginning of the Revealing Science of God is awesome. It takes quite a bit of effort to take in all of the album in one sitting though. |
That's very true... there are moments of pure genius and musical euphoria, but the album as a whole is a little overwhelming.
|
Glassjaw - Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Silence
Poison The Well - You Come Before You Converge. (I really need to get one of their albums soon but I don't know which one to get. Should I get Jane Doe or You Fail Me? Yeah my ears have taken a good battering tonight. |

But after that I recommend you work backwards. You Fail Me is a good album, but their older works, in my opinion, are better. |
Bardo Pond(neo-psych/stoner band with post-rock length songs)
the usual Strung Out The Living End |
Fair enough. By older works I meant specifically When Forever Comes Crashing and Petitioning The Empty Sky. You Fail Me is definitely a good album, but comparitively speaking its not the best, especially not for an introduction to Converge.

They sound good. Lots of Manowar Alex Drosen - Sit and Melt DJ Spooky vs Dave Lombardo - Drums of Death Lots and lots of Talking Heads |
This morning:
The Velvet Underground and Nico - The Velvet Underground and Nico This afternoon: Black Flag - Damaged |
I respectfully disagree. Jane Doe and You Fail Me are absolutely brilliant, When Forever Comes Crashing is great, Petitioning is alright and Caring and Killing is pretty weak.
Eugh... You Fail Me is garbage. Just complete garbage.. it's not even worth the time taken to actually listen to it. I feel like I've lost something after listening to that album. Get Jane Doe, or Petitioning The Empty Sky. |
