Hey dudes, for my denim vest, do you think a Ride the Lightning patch or a Master of Puppets patch?
I'd say Master of Puppets only cause I like it more.Or why not both?
Or is it to much Metallica?

metal-militia 05-24-2005 03:33 AM
I have Apocalyptic Raids A.D. Great cd!
I've heard a bit of it and it sounds good. Need to get that and the early Celtic Frost CD's.

FatalEnergy 05-24-2005 03:57 PM

Guess what?! Mustaine just ruined Gigantour by adding a bunch of shit bands to the 2nd stage.........what a fucktard

RCA 05-24-2005 04:11 PM

Which bands?

FatalEnergy 05-24-2005 04:35 PM

Mushroom Head
Dillinger Escape Plan, isn't mallcore I guess....they are "hardcore" or whatever, but that **** sucks just as much as mallcore

and what ever you want to call this steaming pile of ****
http://www.bobaflexwarriors.com/

and a couple other bands that I've never heard of, but so far no one seems to be real happy they are playing. I think they are "hardcore" and that's why

GraveRobbersINC 05-24-2005 06:07 PM

Well for Megadeth, Dream Theater, and Overkill I think I can spend what is it..35 bucks?

RCA 05-24-2005 06:37 PM

Only $35? That's a deal and a half!

GraveRobbersINC 05-24-2005 06:51 PM
Only $35? That's a deal and a half!
I remember it being called a "fan friendly price" and I think about 35.

RCA 05-24-2005 07:25 PM
I remember it being called a "fan friendly price" and I think about 35.
Fan-Friendly indeed! I'm definitely going to this now.

Mushroomhead haven't been confirmed yet, though its possible (likely) they'll be on it. Dillinger is pretty good IMO. I'm disappointed that Dave actually likes Bobaflex, come on man, that's not metal.

But hey man, its still Megadeth, Dream Theater, Nevermore, and Symphony X for $35, that's 4 killer bands for half the price of Ozzfest.

FatalEnergy 05-24-2005 09:16 PM
Well for Megadeth, Dream Theater, and Overkill I think I can spend what is it..35 bucks?
Overkill isn't going to play :upset: But I get to see them in September anyways :)
But hey man, its still Megadeth, Dream Theater, Nevermore, and Symphony X for $35, that's 4 killer bands for half the price of Ozzfest.
True, and that's why I'm still going :thumb:

GraveRobbersINC 05-25-2005 05:36 AM

Since when is Overkill not playing, they're the only reason to be there for second stage.

Apocalyptic Raids 05-25-2005 07:52 AM

I'd go just to see Megadeth and Dream Theater.

RCA 05-25-2005 08:50 AM

Overkill's not playing? :upset:

DEP is math metal.

But Overkill isn't playing? Bummer, man. At least you've got Megadeth, Dream Theater, Symphony X, and Nevermore playing the same show for a low price. Good stuff. I think Angel Dust might have been a good addition, even though that might not have been tangible...

RCA 05-25-2005 10:55 AM

Dave better play nothing off of post-Youthanasia albums.

ThrashMaster27 05-25-2005 12:10 PM

She-Wolf and Trust are staples in the setlist. He's bound to play stuff from TSHF and possibly something from TWNAH. I'm doubting the latter though...

MAthiAS 05-25-2005 12:15 PM

He didn't play She-Wolf on Blackmail the Universe tour... He played a lot off of TSHF, he'll probably cut out some of those. Also he's got a half hour shorter show this time around. I'd like to hear some Loved to Deth. Sucks he's never playing Black Friday again. I think they should move Symphony X onto the main stage, and just get rid of the second stage. The second stage just didn't turn out well.

Is that because of his new-found faith?

GOD DAMMIT!!! THAT'S MY FAVORITE MEGADETH SONG!!!!!!

MAthiAS 05-25-2005 01:39 PM
Is that because of his new-found faith?
Yeah, same deal with The Conjuring.

RCA 05-25-2005 02:01 PM
Yeah, same deal with The Conjuring.
Damn! Another classic, never to be played again.

ForiegnPenguin 05-25-2005 02:10 PM

I just saw a double Exhorder cd and and Arsis cd. They are mine next time I see them.

GraveRobbersINC 05-25-2005 03:09 PM

I can't believe you won't play those, I'm assuming that means no Skull Beneath the Skin either? Man, I wish they would play Rattlehead, that would make my day.

MAthiAS 05-25-2005 03:11 PM

I don't know, The Conjuring and Black Friday are the only songs he's actually said he won't play again (to my knowledge).
I don't know, The Conjuring and Black Friday are the only songs he's actually said he won't play again (to my knowledge).
Enlighten me on this "new found faith".

MAthiAS 05-25-2005 03:38 PM

Dave became a faithful Christian like a year or so ago.

Kurtz 05-25-2005 04:58 PM
I just saw a double Exhorder cd and and Arsis cd. They are mine next time I see them.
Definitely get the Exhorder. Just pure, balls-on, brutal thrash.

Freezing Moon 05-25-2005 05:00 PM

No!! The Conjuring and Black Friday are probably my favorite Megadeth songs. Definitly my favorite on Peace Sells along with My Last Words.

Man, this sucks. I didn't know his "new faith" would mean that he isn't going to play some of his old songs. :upset:

Hopefully they won't stop playing anything from KIMB, or anything else.

FatalEnergy 05-25-2005 05:42 PM

My favorite Deth song is defiantley My Last Words, but The Skull Beneath the Skin i and Black Friday definatley some of my favorites. It sucks he's being all lame and dissapointing his fans. Mustaine does everything in excess.....look at his Drug problem. So this whole Christian thing he'll overdo as well

yeah, I'm a Christian, but I'm no Pussy either

NP : AT WAR WITH SATAN - VENOM

MAthiAS 05-25-2005 06:37 PM

I'm more dissappointed at the addition of Bobaflex to Gigantour, and the possibility of Mushroomhead. But yeah, usually I agree with Mustaine, but his decisions because of his new faith suck. I don't care that he's religious now, but I'd think he'd be more open-minded to Satanist bands and stop being such a fruit. They're just lyrics.

ForiegnPenguin 05-25-2005 06:38 PM

Yeah, it was pretty retarded when he called off touring with Dissection.

Corporal Compendia 05-25-2005 07:16 PM

Megadeth sucks live now. They only play like... 5-6 old songs.
I fell asleep while they were on last time I saw them.

ForiegnPenguin 05-25-2005 07:25 PM

I still have yet to see them live.

FatalEnergy 05-25-2005 07:26 PM

The last time I saw them, they had a pretty decent setlist and were actually really good. THIS TIME BETTER HAVE SOME KIMB SONGS ON THE SETLIST OR I WILL BE REALLY REALLY PISSED, AND AT LEAST ONE SONG OFF PEACE SELLS OTHER THAN THE TITLE TRACK

Apocalyptic Raids 05-25-2005 11:29 PM
The last time I saw them, they had a pretty decent setlist and were actually really good. THIS TIME BETTER HAVE SOME KIMB SONGS ON THE SETLIST OR I WILL BE REALLY REALLY PISSED, AND AT LEAST ONE SONG OFF PEACE SELLS OTHER THAN THE TITLE TRACK
Well they always play Mechanix and Wake Up Dead, I would be very, very suprised if they didn't play those. To whoever said something about songs from TWNAH, ever since that album they've been player Hanger 18 and Return To Hangar in order live.

Sucks that he will never play Black Friday and The Conjuring again. Two of their best songs. :(

On the other hand 1,000 posts! In the best thread on MX.

ThrashMaster27 05-25-2005 11:34 PM

Oh yeah. I forgot about Return To Hangar.

Black Friday is one badass song. I'm sure he said ages ago before they toured that he'd start playing it in the live setlist again, just to see if he could actually play it. Looks like that idea got abandoned. Well nevermind, I was happy enough with the setlist when I saw 'em.

GraveRobbersINC 05-26-2005 05:34 AM

They played Devil's Island on the DVD, is that a mabye?

Apocalyptic Raids 05-26-2005 06:14 AM

I think if it was going to be anything besides Wake Up Dead or Peace Sells, then it would be Devils Island. Although I'm not sure how much they've been playing it lately.

Corporal Compendia 05-26-2005 06:20 AM
Well they always play Mechanix
No they don't. They play that...sometimes. Never anything else from Killing though.

RCA 05-26-2005 11:24 AM

I was just thinking how Dave would react if I brought a giant replica of him nailed to a cross to one of his shows.

Speaking of which...
