Spent all week in Birmingham. Recently, someone did an official survey to find the worst places in England. The town I live in - Luton - won. Birmingham came second.

However, the shops there are much bigger, meaning I was able to find Civilisation III: Conquests, and Totally Bill Hicks, both of which I've been looking for for a while. I also picked up Lamb's self-titled on CD (finally), and Rufus Wainwright's Want One. W00t.

Talking heads
queens of the stone age
bloc party
elefant
sono

And I thought that no such thing existed..

There is. Motor FM, frequency is 106.8 around berlin. If you don't live there, you can stream it on [url]www.motor.de[/url].
They also play some german songs, buth those are very good, too.

because that's what i think of, for some reason when i think of music from Germany.

since in English, you start questions a bit differently than if it were a statement i figured it was given that it was a question. like in spanish i'd have to emphasize it.


and as for american radio stations....

there's a radio station here that played blonde readhead, tv on the radio, dogs die in hot cars, and bjork as a list. go college radio!

College radio is the only reprieve from the rest of the radio industry in the US. UT and Texas State both have pretty decent college radio stations. My university's, however, is operated by a few tight-assed, conservative folks. They end up cutting all the good playlists into pieces.
