Amon Amarth's songs are like mass produced auto parts. They get the job done, but they're all interchangable, so if you lose one you just get a different one and everything is exactly the same.

meh....I love them.

xizoesira 12-03-2004 08:45 PM

Go download one random song from each of their five albums and you'll see what I mean, Livewired.

And don't get me wrong, they're a good band, but man.

RouteOne 12-03-2004 08:46 PM

The Black Dahlia Murder. You're guys opinions on them?

Broken Arrow 12-03-2004 08:47 PM

jpj 12-03-2004 08:47 PM

xizoesira 12-03-2004 08:47 PM

Thoughts on tBDM:

1. They're good.
2. Their drummer makes me smile.
3. They look like k-mart employees.

FINALLY! Someone who likes them. All I hear on other threads in R&M is that they are the "diet coke" of death metal. I think that is rediculous.

Permanent Solution 12-03-2004 08:51 PM

I repped everyone on this page I could.

Yeah, a lot of people don't like them and think they're another in the wave of american melo-whateverthefuck, but they're very good.

Anybody here into jazz?

Yeah, most people do not know good music when they hear it. I also see people post that LoG is better than tBDM....which angers me to no extent.

I like some jazz.

I like The Flecktones, Oteil Burbridge, and some stuff my dad listens to but I don;t know the name.
Anybody here into jazz?
I'm not real knowledgable on the subject, but I enjoy a spot of jazz here and there.

Per Ardua Ad Astra 12-03-2004 08:57 PM

I dig Jazz, i'm in the school Jazz band which will eventually lead to me posting less and less here.

jpj 12-03-2004 08:59 PM

My school doesn't have a jazz band o my knowledge. If we did I'd definitley try out.

Dancin' Man 12-03-2004 09:00 PM

I saw Bela Fleck and the Flecktones last year. So awesome. The "drummer" makes me smile.

What's his name? Future man or something? I thought about seeing then this year, but went to Gov't Mule instead.

Woodstock 12-03-2004 09:01 PM

Count Basie's work really appeals to me, and have any of you heard of Sammy Nestico?
