I was just referring to your "I don't recall you asking to join" thing. I think the clan is basically dead now. It's just full of members since the start and others like RCA, who are very knowledgable on Thrash. I'm still wondering where Joel has pissed off to though. Must be to do with education.
Polish Thrash? You should get on that mate. I'm well up on English Thrash.....you get up on Polish Thrash. |
*coughs* :p
Whats good English thrash? I have Sabbat, Onslaught, Sacrilage, Cro-mags and some others in some other folder i think
I've heard some Sabbat, but what's Onslaught like?, it's a good name so hopefully their material is also good :D NP: Destruction - Course the Gods (is it supposed to be 'Curse' and my media player's just being a retard? ) EDIT: Vocals just confirmed that it's 'Curse' :p Man that one riff is kick ass, I'm gonna go learn it. |
Whats good English thrash?
err Sabbat? Xentrix? errI don't know really we never had tht much in the way of great thrash. |
I said Sabbat, and crap, how could i forget Xentrix?
Xentrix have the best ever cover song :p Onslaught are good, but In Search of Sanity had a more melodic approach and i didnt like it as much. NP: Xentrix - Ghostbusters (live) |
I'm sure you've never heard of Venom :p
|
Venom aren't proper thrash IMO, but had a big influence on it. |
Turbo are quite good speed/thrash.
Facts about Yours Truly (spam whore): I have 10% of the total posts in this thread. About 16% of all my posts are in this thread. :D |
I think Brazil and Germany share the throne for producing the most (quantity) solid thrash bands.
Facts about Yours Truly (spam whore): I have 10% of the total posts in this thread. About 16% of all my posts are in this thread.
Thanks for gracing this thread with your recommendations and sheer presence. CHEERS TO DARGON! :chug: |
Yay for Dargon
I think the best thrash comes from USA/Germany/Canada :thumb: |
I'd say for countries producing Thrash bands, Germany and USA do the best. I barely know of any thrash bands that originated in Canada, could you give me a few??
|
Whiplash - Another band i reccomend 546074560 times :)
they are great, thats a good find RCA
lol. I'd just stumbled upon them last night because of their name. Was browsing someone's slsk folder (mostly a death head) and I liked the band name. Very thrash :) |
Does anybody else post exclusively in this thread?
|
Could someone kindly reccomend me some Coroner?
|
are sepultura classed as a thrash outfit?
|
As far as I know.
|
Well they WERE thrash, but not anymore
and Cheers To Dragon (:p) :chug: |
Could someone kindly reccomend me some Coroner?
R.I.P., Punishment For Decadence and No More Color. You can't go wrong with them 3 albums. |
Oh and as for good English Thrash bands.
Re-Animator Xentrix Sabbat Acid Reign True we didn't have many, but most of them were good. |
What are Re-Animator like?
also, i just picked up Morbid Visions/Bestial Devastation :D |
also, i just picked up Morbid Visions/Bestial Devastation :D
Look at the lyrics for Bestial Devastation...I swear those lyrics and listening to the song itself crack me up every time  |
What are Re-Animator like?
also, i just picked up Morbid Visions/Bestial Devastation :D
That Album/EP is so raw, the vocals are more death than thrash but I think that's due to Max's undeveloped vocals. Aswell, the guitars on Morbid Visions are out of tune. Obviously you can hear them but it's also backed up by Maxs' own admission in the book somehwere  Anyway, enjoy :thumb: NP: Slayer - Live Undead |
Yeah, i read that in the book
i like max's raw vocals on Morbid Visions/Bestial Devastation & Schizophrenia so much better than the BTR and Arise vocals. |
Oh and as for good English Thrash bands.
Re-Animator Xentrix Sabbat Acid Reign True we didn't have many, but most of them were good.
I've heard all of them apart from Re-Animator The best Coroner is Punishment for Decadence |

o noes! Check these out: Razor Sacrifice Slaughter Infernal Majesty Disciples of Power Dissection Piledriver (not really thrash but meh) |
what Dargon said, plus early Annhilator :thumb:
And add Lawnmower Deth to that English thrash list. How can you not like a band with lyrics like "Enter the church of the apocalyptic lawnmower!" |
Lawnmower Deth
"watch out granma here comes a lawmower watch out granma here comes a lawmower watch out granma here comes a lawmower TO CUT YOUR ****ING HEAD OFF!!" edit: typo |
Lawnmower Deth
"watch out granma hear comes a lawmower watch out granma hear comes a lawmower watch out granma hear comes a lawmower TO CUT YOUR ****ING HEAD OFF!!"
:amaze:   I want that song for my car! :D Anyway. I picked up Death Angel - 'Frolic Through the Park' today, £15.99!!! Goddamn import. It's not as good as the Ultra Violence IMO but still great thrash with exception to 'Bored' maybe. |
^
