I was In Bruges this week. Did an all-inclusive tourist tour including shooting midgets, hitting women in the face in restaurants, calling Americans fat elephants and jumping off of the clock tower.

I should really do more writing. I've got ideas for my band, my side project and my heavy solo recording project, but not the time. On top of that I've been meaning to transcribe acoustic versions of a few songs so I can take them open mic'ing.

But alas, no.

Fuck it I go on holiday in 6 days.

Aes820 07-09-2009 06:48 PM

If English was smarter, the 'to' and 'too' thing would also be the case for 'so' and 'soo'.

Big issues.

F'in Aussies over-analyzing things....

On a seprate note.. I just bought a Behringer ep2500 and 2 15 main/monitors. 1. I had no Idea how f'in heavy a power amp was I was at a party a while back and the solo act guy had 4 of them in a home-made rack with and eq and pre-amp and and power conditioner.. now I wonder how he picked it up by hisself to put it on stage.

Also 2. Can I use one channel of it for the mains and the other for my sub running it parallel? Or will I need a crossover or something for the sub? Right now one of my main channels goes out to my powered 12,s and the other should go to the ep2500...

right?? I'm slightly confused.. I'm sure this is easy but I can't think at the moment. I'm in too much pain with 2 pulled hamstrings

Aes820 07-09-2009 08:32 PM

1. Differnt poweramps weigh differnt amounts. Those cheaper Source/Sink ones are usually pretty light. But on the other hand you can get some that have big chunky heat sinks in them, and transformers, that can weigh a good amount.
Or maybe he was just a tough cunt.

2. If it's a passive sub you'd want to have a crossover before the poweramp. It's not ideal to run a full range signal through a sub. But, if not for any other reason, you'll get better efficiency with the crossover anyway.

To be honest the English language could be massively streamlined. But then I think it'd take some of it's character away from it.

JoshIsNumber3 07-10-2009 04:14 PM

the "so/soo" argument is a pretty awful one to make, even for mx.

"to" and "too" refer to two explicitly different grammatical concepts; even further, both are words.

There isn't a case to even use so in a method that would make necessary to create "soo", and even more, to distinguish the two with new grammatical framework!

Aes820 07-10-2009 06:43 PM

nm, just got back from Manchester, went the Transgender festival or some such, what a laugh. You haven't lived until you've seen, all in one day:
A transvestite midget.
Cross dressing volleyball.
A crazy drunk jumping 15 feet off a wall into the canal, 3 times.
Cartwheeling cheerleader bloke cartwheeling down half of Canal Street.
Unisex toilets to avoid, uhm, awkward situations.

Bwaahahaha, I've seen the gay parade once, it was pretty fun, especially as in our group was my lesbian second cousin, who's stepdad refuses to accept she's a lesbian. He was there too

Europe

Virtually all of Europe has publicly sponsored and regulated health care. The public plans in some countries provide basic or "sick" coverage only; their citizens can purchase supplemental insurance for additional coverage. Countries with universal health care include Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal,[66] Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine[67] and the United Kingdom.[68]

United States
See also: Health care reform in the United States and Health care in the United States

The United States is the only wealthy, industrialized nation that does not have a universal health care system.[1][2] The government directly covers 27.8% of the population[18] through health care programs for the elderly, disabled, military service families and veterans, children, and some of the poor, through Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP, and TRICARE.[19][2]

either way the healthcare system is pretty much a shambles here
