I've heard of it, but never had. I've only had a couple of Quebec beers. Something with a horse on it (lawl), and BierBrier.
Cheval Blanc?

If you have, its a pretty boring beer.

Efrim 04-12-2009 01:30 PM

Oh, and Rogue is fantastic, but I can't seem to find it here.
I had a bottle in when I was back in Calgary in February. So goddamn good.

Haha, yeah, that was the one. It was pretty subpar, but I didn't know better at the time.

Efrim 04-12-2009 01:36 PM

If it's a nice day on the 29th we could go and buy a selection of fine beers and go up the mountain. then not come down till we are drunk.

That would be awesome.

I wish Maude drank beer. It is my only real complaint about her.

I was going to ask if she was into beer actually.
What does she drink then?

BenJammin 04-12-2009 01:59 PM

She mostly drinks coolers, sometimes white wine, and sometimes mixed drinks.

She's more of a drink solely to get drunk kind of person (as opposed to drink to get drunk, but enjoy the subtleties of the drink while getting drunk). She'll drink Alexander Keiths, though, and most light beers once she's already drunk.

pukeboy66 04-12-2009 02:01 PM

Sup fam.

I pity that kind of person. The drink is great, I'm so glad I enjoy it.
Anyway, I'm heading home now, so I'll talk to y'all some other time.

hai Doug

DaveSavesTheDay 04-12-2009 03:14 PM

Tremblay and Boreal are the two best Quebec beers.

I just had some Kopi Luwak (look it up if you aren't familiar with it). It was pretty good, but I wouldn't personally buy some.

katana_manatee 04-12-2009 05:16 PM

Mmm, beer.

I used to be a drink to get drunk person but now I never drink with the intention of getting drunk. Sometimes I will just have a few pints then stop or just keep on going, depending on how I feel at the time. I guess my baptism of binging while in music college made me grow out of that a bit. :p

'sup peeps?

DaveSavesTheDay 04-12-2009 06:59 PM

I'm rather hungover.

Quite tired, too.

Mr. Pickle 04-12-2009 07:23 PM

I want my tax money so I can finish my pedal board. :(

DaveSavesTheDay 04-12-2009 07:52 PM

I want my tax money so I can pay my credit card :p

BenJammin 04-12-2009 09:30 PM

I just had easter dinner with my family, and I am frickin' drunk. 8 of us drinking, 7 bottles of wine, I don't know how many beer. I can account for at least 6 myself.

Spaceman Spiff 04-12-2009 10:08 PM

I just got a MicroKorg. This thing is crazy. I'm just figuring out what the hell I'm doing on it.

y u do dat

Spaceman Spiff 04-12-2009 10:39 PM

I've been interested in a synth lately. The prospect of the vocoder only sweetened the deal.

the vocoder is one of few hardware features of the MK that is stand alone imo there are some neat effects but most of the synths are somewhat limited and stagnant for studio application

good thing its a midi controller problem solved

good buy

Spaceman Spiff 04-13-2009 11:08 AM

I'm just going through some online tutorials now and trying to learn how to work everything on this mini beast.

DaveSavesTheDay 04-13-2009 12:32 PM

Finally found a place. I go to sign the lease tomorrow.

Now I just need to decide what I'm doing next year. I took this year off to try and figure out what I wanted to do but it just opened up more interests. I've been accepted to both Journalism and Advertising at my local university, but I've also got a huge interest in the RCMP. I took a mini-exam for them to see how I would do and I got 97.8% which, apparently, is one of the best scores they've seen recently.

/sigh.

If only I could find some rich girl to support me.

Epidemechanical 04-13-2009 03:47 PM

FunkMetalBass 04-13-2009 05:06 PM

Mike Patton is amazing.

I can't get enough of this album:

There may or may not be a yousendit link to the album somewhere in this Casual tonight.

Aaron 04-13-2009 05:54 PM

I wish I new/was-able to play bass like a bass player. I play like a drummer and don't really know it's potential. I'm a boring player. Suxorz.

Sablate McNuff 04-13-2009 06:06 PM

That just gives you a different approach to writing for rhythm's sake.

Listen to some of the "virtuosos" and really study their technique and style. You'll start to write differently. Don't give up!

Aaron 04-13-2009 06:53 PM

I'm not giving up, I do need to put more hours into practice though. I love guys who have the ability to cover the low end, make the drums and melodic instruments gel and still use it as a solo instrument, without overplaying. Whenever I try to write anything like that I either over play, or lose one of the aforementioned characteristics in the song. I guess I always take the less-is-more-approach a bit too much. *shrugs*

ps. Does anyone else think the bass parts in BTBAM are amazing? I've not seen much discussion of them in this end of mx.

Efrim 04-13-2009 06:54 PM

Good evening.

Aaron 04-13-2009 06:57 PM

Hello.

Efrim 04-13-2009 07:09 PM

I just had me a fine lamb chili meal. What's new round these parts?

DaveSavesTheDay 04-13-2009 07:22 PM

Mmm, lamb chili.

I've never had it nor heard of it but I love both lamb and chili so I'm sure the two would be delicious. Was it just ground lamb?

Sablate McNuff 04-13-2009 07:28 PM

Sounds delectable. I would have used lamb chunks. I like when chili has meat chunks in there, not just ground meats.

Aaron 04-13-2009 07:56 PM

Yeah chunks a better. Especially when they've marinated for so long that they fall apart in your mouth. mmm.

Az_Holl 04-13-2009 10:02 PM

i have 50grams of tobacco and 8 litres of wine... should be a good night

Aaron 04-13-2009 10:14 PM
