I've tried to listen to them before. Didn't work for me.

encmetalhead 06-10-2008 09:15 AM

NP: Decyfer Down

i've been in the DD mood since hearing of the new album

dinosaurxbrocore 06-10-2008 10:37 AM
with blood comes cleansing is pretty bad on their album but their live show is pretty fun, lotta pileons and stuff of that nature
the vocals are meh, but the musics good

botb 06-11-2008 11:30 AM

they are also both incredible, though as cities burn has lost a bit of intensity due to their screamer going to oh, sleeper. but son i loved you at your darkest rules.

I thought thier screamer quit to stay home with his wife. It doesn't make sense that he would tour with Oh, Sleeper.

interviewer02 06-12-2008 09:45 AM

It seems like christian bands like Underoath and Norma Jean are aimed at younger audiences like 12-17 year olds.

yeah forget what i said, i'm retarded.

The Feeding 06-12-2008 04:08 PM

Norma Jean's album Bless The Martyr Kiss The Chid was amazing. They replaced the singer and now it's all garbage

I don't always have the wittiest comebacks to make people like you look stupid, but you know this time I'm right.

Porklips 06-12-2008 04:27 PM

I'll invite Scott Strapp with arms wide open any time.

dinosaurxbrocore 06-13-2008 01:34 AM

how are you right? these bands are just heavily influenced by knut, eso charis, and botch and happen to be christian
haha. never mind. i thought tj was in oh sleeper because the vocalist sounds exactly like him and theres members of as cities burn in oh sleeper.

eh, i dont think his vocals are that much like tj

september 22nd's vocalist on the other hand, like identical voice

encmetalhead 06-13-2008 11:25 AM

Burden Of A Day anyone?

Pete 06-13-2008 11:44 AM

Served the lusts of the flesh
No torment to be found thereof
Banishment of the guilt within
Grace given freely from the Father above

I’m dead to the flesh
The life that I live is now my faith in Christ
Now I’m alive
Living dead, walking through the night

Night of the living dead
Illumination of the dark
Through the power of Jesus Christ

Where will you go
When the soul is all you’ve got left
Accountable for one’s own actions
You’re responsible for your death

To your sin you must die
Put on the full armor of God
Dismember mortality
Clothe yourself with the power of God
Burden Of A Day anyone?
way to kill this thread

McP3000 06-13-2008 03:59 PM

wow this thread could be kinda good if everyone wasn't a total dick about it

botb 06-13-2008 11:29 PM

Underneath the Gun anyone? Their first album blows me away even though it's really generic because they were like 16-17 when they recorded it.

dinosaurxbrocore 06-14-2008 01:01 AM

theyre horrible
wow this thread could be kinda good if everyone wasn't a total dick about it
i agree completely... instead of faggotry, discuss how disappointing the new means was.

edit: okay nevermind, i hated it the first time, but i think i was paying too much attention to how ****ed up the dudes voice is now... the musics really good, wow.

botb 06-14-2008 03:41 PM

i was about to say mappy. haha. the new means musically is outstanding.

dinosaurxbrocore 06-14-2008 03:41 PM

yeah, and the vocals grew on me, cause now instead of sounding like a bad metalcore vocalist he sounds like comeback kids old singer

botb 06-14-2008 03:46 PM

www.myspace.com/myepic

discuss how ridiculously awesome they are.

dinosaurxbrocore 06-14-2008 03:48 PM

i cant picture either of those dudes doing those vox, but yeah theyre pretty cool

botb 06-14-2008 03:49 PM

yep, they look like a hardcore band but they aren't at all. they do some of the best delay work and atmospheric guitar i've ever heard. their this is rescue e.p. is astounding. and they recently got signed to facedown.

MarshallArtist3203 06-20-2008 01:23 PM

music is music...at least christian music has a purpose....most of the **** you guys listen too is just to make noise...death metal is the worst genre of music to ever exist, it all sounds the same, the guitarists are OK but nothing too great because they all play and sound the same.....christian music has a place in this world because at least they're conveying something in their words and their music (whether you believe or not), while death metal (clearly the favorite genre on a site like this) is a plague on our society

Charizard 06-20-2008 04:32 PM

im in a death metal band and my lyrics have a lot of hidden christian themes, listen to more death metal for one thing, and aside from that, dm's not the biggest thing on here.

Bordello 06-20-2008 04:56 PM

JAV 06-20-2008 06:43 PM

Is Zao still considered christian?

Meatplow 06-20-2008 07:22 PM

most christian music is probably as sincere as peter popoff

get a bunch of people together (usually bad)
get a bunch of people together and throw religion into the mix (worse)

I totally agree. If everyone was not so blatantly anti-Christian this thread would be very successful.

I like Vaakevandring.

I really like As Cities Burn (see my avatar).
I think they have a really cool sound, and they're a Christian band.
