I thought about getting my fretless re-finished with a natural sunburst and maybe a pickguard if I could afford it but I dont want to ruin its value...
|
i'm gonna suck on your fretless and give it all your christmas money.
|
Well, refinishing it wouldn't diminish its value as vintage in the next 10-15 years would it?
All parts would still be origional, except the pickguard.. |
my parts are the originals.

 :( :upset: |
I...don't get it?
|
i don't wanna talk about it ok?
|
He didn't love you!!!!!
 |
I only love my acoustic and my fretless, and I guess Im obligated to feed that bastardized six string in the closet
|
:amaze: I can pick up other people in my dorm's iTunes from my laptop. It's all rap. :upset:
I'll give you a nerf gun and a can of tuna for the bastard. :thumb: |
You know that cort swampash 4 string at GC?
Im going to try to trade in the ibanez and maybe some cash to get that and a case thrown in. |
Del the Funkee Homosapien is playing in my city next week!
and it's 21+ :upset:.... |
Actually I do. I'd go for it, I know I liked it more than the curbow. But the BR GC has pretty slim pickin's. Wait, are you talking about the one in BR? I thought they didn't do trade in's.
|
The one in New Orleans.
It had the same pickups as my Ibanez but I found the swamp ash wasnt as dark as the mahagony and it weilded a better slap tone. Plus, it just felt so much better than my Ibanez. |
i need more rap recommendations. i have a good amount of rap artists right now, but i want something new. let's hear 'em!
and if anybody wants some good rap i'd be glad to recommend some and give links, too. |

A drummer came in the store today, gave me his phone number, and told me to call as soon as I felt like dragging the eden out my room
|
I really like that Gym Class Heroes band. They remind me of OutKast (in that they have a very distinct sound). I approve x 10.

I think I will take time tomorrow to write a song. I've got enough stuff here to figure something out. Fruity Loops, Audacity, Bass, Amp, 1/4-1/8 adapter, and a keyboard. Should I get anything else?
|
An Ovation.
/unbiased |
Can't play acoustic for my life. Chords are absolutely beyond me. That said, I haven't really tried. Meh. If I had a mic I might throw some acousticness, but I don't. :( So it's basically going to be crappy electronica but whatever, it will be worth it to learn the ins and outs of song writing. Chord progressions? Any suggestions at all?

it's always handy to have a guitar floating around. |
I need to get a good electric...
|
i love my schecter c-1 plus
|
I want a fat strat
|
those are pretty nice. even better are the fender deluxe teles. the ones with the single in the bridge and the hum at the neck. seckz
|
I want the single for my blues lust and the hum for tearing ***.
|
deluxe tele sounds like youre axe then.
|
How much?
Im 300 in debt I think :upset: |
If I were to buy a guitar right now, under $1000, I would probably get a mexi strat or fat strat. The only thing that draws me to the fat strat is that it doesn't have a whammy. I would never find a need for it. I do have an acoustic but I can't record with it.
|
I need some form of tremelo or whammy pedal.
|

Not bad. My dad said he'd pay 300 on my fretless(which is so gracious of him since the 300 was TAKEN OUT OF MY BANK ACCOUNT), I hope that works out because I want to buy an electric guitar and get a fretted 4(trade in + some cash) and be done with instruments for a while.
Im so sick of shopping for instruments... |
