Trigger_003 07-15-2005 07:35 PM

I haven't seen him in here very often... just in a copyright thread a while back... *shrug*

What's on for you today/soon?

I spent most of today moving a huge rain water tank into my yard. I got a 9,000 litre tank deliverd yesterday and I was going to have it hooked up to the guttering to save water, you know with the drought and water restrictions going on.

Except the problem was that 9,000 liter water tanks are pretty big and very awkward. I had to tear down a fence to get it into my yard. But it's there now, set into position, level, and nearly ready to go. So it's all good. And my neighbour was nice enough to give me a hand.

And how are you then, Trea?

gaslight 07-16-2005 12:31 AM

Hey everyone, what's going on?

Found some bands for your party yet Aes?

Trigger_003 07-16-2005 01:08 AM

Yay, Chris is a WaterSaver! Wait... you guys don't have those ads up there... forget it. Yeah, it's not good about this drought, eh? Good to hear you're doing your bit :thumb:.

I'm going good thanks. My parents have said I have to do 2 hours homework/study each weeknight before I can touch music/Mx, and 6 hours across the weekend as well. I wasn't really happy at having to have a set schedule. I know it's good to get into the habit for VCE, but... GUITAR!!!
Anyway, I've just been getting pumped about this 50 hour music marathon that's coming up (starts this Thursday). It'll be so fun.

How about you, Matt?
What's the party for, Chris?

gaslight 07-16-2005 01:19 AM

I'm alright I guess, same old.

Starting a new band soon that I have high hopes for, that's about it.

Trigger_003 07-16-2005 01:24 AM

Sweet as. What kind of band/instruments?

gaslight 07-16-2005 01:27 AM

I'm not sure what the sound is like yet because we haven't had our first jam, but it's me on bass, my friend on drums (awesome) and a guy on guitar that I haven't met yet and a guy who plays rhythm guitar and sings who I also haven't met yet. I know the drummer and lead guitarist are good but I haven't heard this other guy sing yet, that'll be an important factor for me.

Trigger_003 07-16-2005 01:29 AM

Alright. Sounds awesome, good luck with it :).
Are you still on holidays or...?

gaslight 07-16-2005 01:32 AM

No excuse not to have one anyway ;).

gaslight 07-16-2005 07:59 PM

Truth.

What are y'all up to today?

Trigger_003 07-16-2005 11:33 PM

With me, not much really. Just finished playing jazz on the ol' trombone. The rest of the day will probably be guitar/theory/Mx - as usual. You?

gaslight 07-16-2005 11:40 PM

Fun :). Check out the community thread in the Aussie forum, fun times there atm.

I'm playing PS2 for now, then I'm dropping a spare bass at a friend's house so she can borrow it for her band, then I'm watching Ali G In The Usaiii at 9 30, and that's the extent of my plans.

Aes820 07-17-2005 01:18 AM

I just played indoor soccer.
I copped the ball in the face. My nose bled. :(
My team lost 5:1 :(

Trigger_003 07-17-2005 01:21 AM

Matt: K cool :).

Woop woop woop woop woo... http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=366388 (6th post).

EDIT: Chris: Argh that sucks man, you okay? :(
EDIT: Chris: Argh that sucks man, you okay? :(
:) Yeah.. I'm fine.
After a shower and a cool down it's all okay.
That was the first game our team had lost in the season, so It's alight. We just had a bad day. It happens.

Trigger_003 07-17-2005 01:59 AM

Indeed it does. Ah well, as long as you had fun... soccer is awesome to play.
Please don't say it was the first game of the season :p.

airborne50caliber 07-17-2005 02:21 AM

I prefer rugby. More tactical.

gaslight 07-17-2005 02:23 AM

Gutted :(.

I've been in hit in the face with a soccer ball once. Twice in a row actually, happened in primary school. I suppose technically it means I saved two goals.

I just stood there going like.

"Duh..."
*THWACK - hit with soccer ball.*
"Duh..."
*THWACK - hit with soccer ball.*
"Duh..."
*Falls down.*

I also enjoy rugby over soccer, but I might enjoy soccer a bit more if I were any good at it.

Trigger_003 07-17-2005 02:29 AM

Sounds fun... :S oww. Getting hit in the face with a tennis raquet canes too... I was supposed to have stiches for the cut I got from that (the strings cut into my face - I've still got the scar).
Not the best topic, but hey it's something... who has had stiches (and how'd you get 'em)?

gaslight 07-17-2005 02:30 AM

I had to have a few stitches in my right arm for a cut, that's it though.

Trigger_003 07-17-2005 02:38 AM

I've had 17 all up. 7 near my eyebrow (can't really see it any more): when I was three I tripped over while chasing my sister and cut it open on the sharp corner of a metal step.

I got the other 10 when I was 5 I was rollerblading and slipped over. To stop myself from falling I grabbed this wooden post that was right beside me. It had this jagged notch in it and as I slid down it ripped my arm open... bad sight.
The bad thing was they only numbed 4/5 of the cut before stitching it, so I felt the last two stitches *grimace*.

gaslight 07-17-2005 02:42 AM

Owies :(.

Trigger_003 07-17-2005 02:44 AM

Ah well.

Man that was trippy - this man on that guiness world record show just sung C# in the 8th octave (that's off the piano - higher end)!

gaslight 07-17-2005 02:48 AM

Ew . Kill it.

airborne50caliber 07-17-2005 03:30 AM

How does he do that precisely?
