why?
tried one out at a guitar shop-simple, straightforward clean and dirty channels and it sounded pretty sweet too.

of course I was playing a lovely PRS so that might have helped a little bit too:p

I like MX better.

Spiff, I'll check out your stuff tomorrow. I just feel too poopty to try to listen to anything and review it.
Try RIT for the base and I dunno, acrylic paint for the stem?

Super super super concentrated RIT though. They're, like, 49 cents a package at walmart in the craft section. Follow the directions, but either put more in at the beginning or boil it down further.

Gattsu347 04-06-2009 10:35 AM

guitars are like basses for queers

I'm going to use glass stain for both.

I need a color scheme though.

Hah... I picked up and played my bass for the first time in well over a year, probably closer to two, and it was kind of depressing.

I used to be pretty good. Not nearly as good as the best on here, but I was serviceable. Now, there's really nothing left from what I used to be able to do. Its true: use it or lose it.

Sorry, I don't commute to Canada.

Sablate McNuff 04-06-2009 12:11 PM

I agree. I notice the same thing with my playing. I keep my chops up a little, but I just can't do what I used to, and it's really starting to hinder my writing and recording.

Masturbating hinders your eyesight.

DaveSavesTheDay 04-06-2009 10:37 PM

So, last week it was like 16C/60F then, all of a sudden it starts fucking blizzarding today with fucking ice pellets and shit.

Fuck this country.

Turning Japanese, I think I'm turning Japanese, I think I think so

Oh my god. My phone contract is SO stupid.

They made me pay for an upgrade on it that I didn't want for 3 months, and now they've repaid me they're charging me for going over my allowance of text messages. When I have an unlimited text messages upgrade for my phone. So now I'm out of pocket by £34. I'm going to kill someone.

FunkMetalBass 04-07-2009 09:23 AM

**hides behind rock**

Cell phone companies are out to screw you.

Give it 10 years, though, and I bet all cell phones are unlimited talk, picture, text, internet, and whetever other features they have these days.

Yep.

Speaking from someone who works in the telecommunications business, as of now, it's a huge rip-off.

To be honest, at least here in Canada, it's partly our governements fault. Right now, we have three big companies that pretty much monopolize the entire market. Each also own a sister company that don't charge system fees or sign-up fees, ext, but all the money ends up going to the same place.

Our plans, compared to the rest of the world are total garbage. I had a couple from England come into my store the other day and trying to explain to them that we had fees for call display, or that you didn't get unlimited calling or texts or whatever was embarrassing.

Then everyone here complains that the big three are monopolizing the market - which they are - but the CRTC (the body which governs radio and telecommunications) won't let companies from the U.S. (Sprint, At&T, Verizon, ext) come and enter our market.

I mean, at the same time, the city of Chicago represents all of Canada's cellphone users, so the market has something to do with it, but its still crap.

trumpeter 04-07-2009 10:51 AM

Anyone here? I'm at work.

Agh. That is so damn fascinating.

FunkMetalBass 04-07-2009 11:04 AM

Don't know if I could sit there for 24 hours to listen to it, but that's pretty interesting.

BenJammin 04-07-2009 11:24 AM

Writing my two last papers of my undergraduate degree.

Then I'm getting plastered beyond recognition tomorrow.

Hows about yourself?

What's your degree? English something, no?

Nice, congrats.

I'm fairly certain I'm still a year away from my two-year degree (that'll make it about 3 years or so for me, damn).

Actually, I'm also still a year away from getting legally plastered, damn2.

Efrim 04-07-2009 12:53 PM

Aloha. I got my courses all sorted for next year.

FunkMetalBass 04-07-2009 01:17 PM

Sweet. Whatcha takin'? I'm looking at finally taking English 101 and a couple math classes.
