hummm... i dont like it...

HondoII 03-12-2004 11:59 AM

wow this cant be on like the 7th page. We need a new activity.

Thunder Fingers 03-12-2004 02:09 PM

what you think ive been trying?

FrailandBedazzled1979 03-12-2004 02:13 PM

i had this on the last page but NO ONE responded to it lol, here it is again.

Ok, heres a new topic for us to discuss. Lets say...Bruce gets injured and has to miss a few dates on a tour...which vocalist would you like to see sit in for him, and also which band members would best take over on vocals.

PS: pick singers other than D'ianno and Blayze.

my pics: Rob Halford, Ronnie James Dio, or Hansi Kursch
Iron Maiden member: Adrian has a good voice so he's my first pick.

HondoII 03-12-2004 02:26 PM

Adrian HAD a good voice. (God i love REACH OUT)

hmm...i would have to pick...wow...no one can live up to Bruces vocals but hmmm...im going to have to get back to you on that lol.

sensitiveorgan00 03-12-2004 02:28 PM

Hansi Kursh with Maiden would be awesome to see.

HondoII 03-12-2004 02:29 PM

w00t 666th post according to the forum (although the thread says 667 pfft)

The Mercenary 03-12-2004 02:47 PM

i saw maiden at donington last year, they played die with your boots on with adrian doing some backing vocals, which 'showed some age' so to speak! but he is my favourite guitarist in the band, theres just something about the way he solos......

paschendale (did i spell it right?) is a fantastic song!

do any of you guys get funny looks if you play maiden loudly driving around in your cars? (not that i care!! :D )

Thunder Fingers 03-12-2004 02:51 PM

i get funny looks when im singing along to maiden in my class room... And i would love to hear steve sing for a couple of Concerts :p

HondoII 03-12-2004 04:52 PM

Dont u know his singing voice was the one used when maiden got picked up? Paul was wasted, and was not there, so steve sang many of the songs...

Kirk's Puppet 03-14-2004 03:48 AM

Bruce is an idiot for bashing Metallica. I like Iron Maiden but I don't respect Bruce.

mickthemuso 03-14-2004 06:33 AM

metallica are good. but bruce is better. therefore bruce can say watever he wants.

close minded.. but true.

does anybody know of any good websites with iron maiden song meanings?

Thunder Fingers 03-14-2004 09:26 AM

I like metallica but i dont respect any of its Members... I respect Newsted, Burton and Mustain of the formers, but ther rest is plain bassist haters, or stupid looking bassist..., so Bruce can say what he want about them for what i care...

Guess that means the whole lot of Metallica are dumbfucks for bashing Iron Maiden.

Mekkalayakay 03-14-2004 01:51 PM

I just bought my first Iron Maiden cd.

I got Killers, which I think is amazing.

Should my next Maiden cd be with Bruce Dickinson as vocals? (so I can respect both vocalists)

TheUnforgiven 03-14-2004 02:18 PM

^ I got my Maiden cd's in this order:

Number of The Beast
Piece Of Mind
Powerslave
Somewhere In Time
Seventh Son of A Seventh Son
Live After Death
Iron Maiden
Killers
Fear of The Dark
No Prayer For The Dying
Brave New World
Dance Of Death
Rock In Rio
X Factor
Virtual XI

So yeah, I would get a Bruce cd. But it's your decision

btoto 03-14-2004 02:29 PM

HELP !

please someone help me and recommend some easy maiden solos. i've been playing for only 11 months and today i learned aces high solo in 2 hours. it's not that perfect but still sounds not bad.

any suggestions?
thanks

FrailandBedazzled1979 03-14-2004 05:52 PM

^^^

another "do-able" solo by them would be "Mother Russia", that was the second one i learned by them.

OMG...i was at a used cd shop today and they were playing "best of the beast" well, "virus" came on ...so i walked behind the counter and changed the song and the people were like "what are you doing man" so i pointed at the guy and said "i refuse to listen to a Maiden song without Dickenson on vocals" and the guy said "fair enough" and gave me a high five lol.

RockerGav 03-15-2004 05:20 AM

Nice one Frail

Does the cover art on Maiden albums affect the way you listen to them?

Like, for me, BNW is very sort of powerful, crisp and cold, but DOD is more mysterious, bringing out the celtic acoustic bits.

Anyone else find this sort of thing?

Thunder Fingers 03-15-2004 07:31 AM
