That interview is a lot longer. I've read it somewhere before. There were 2 Catch 22 members in that interview.
|
If you find it again, let me know where. There was only that part in the magizane I got, I would like to read the whole thing.
|
Can anyone recommend a good BOTAR cd, if I can find any. I have heard a lot about them but never actually their music.
|
All there is is a demo
http://skachilles.com/music/botar/ for free because it is out of print. |

I've recently acquired 3 SM bootlegs if anyone wants them on SLSK. Username is Brain Toad I think the skachilles site also has two of them under http://skachilles.com/music/sm/

I have... 6 complete Streetlight bootlegs at the moment. I have no idea where half of them came from, though. I don't use any torrents or filesharing programs or anything...
I seem to acquire a lot of music on my computer without quite knowing where it came from  |

Nick are the bootlegs good quality? If so I are interested.

I haven't listened yet, but they can't be absolutely horrible, the bitrates are normal and high. |
Awesome, I'm getting on now.
|
They tease it live. So I have heard part.
Original members of Streetlight who still tour with them... I'm pretty sure it's just the two. Tomas, and Jim Conti. But the new members are amazing, no doubt about it :D
Jim's not an original member. He wasn't on the demo. Tomas is the only original member left. |
The quality of those bootlegs is 'ehh'. A lot of volume problems, but still worth listening/listenable.
|
Catch 22 is one of my all time favorite bands. They are probably one of the greatest bands I have seen live.
|
Ha, the Smells like Teen Spirit Teaser was great. The quality isn't all too bad, and the video is fun to watch.
|
Muchos thanks to whoever posted the links to the live SM stuff and the BOTAR stuff. Me love you long time.

Yeah that was hilarious. They did something like that last week when I saw them. I can't remember what song though, some hard rock tune. |
Freebird maybe? That'd be f'ucking hilarious.
|
Well, I know Tomas is a Nirvana fan. In a BOTAR song he says "And KDC, you were much too young, and you changed my life". Kurt Donald Cobain. I'm a loser for knowing that. But I'm a big Nirvana fan.
The point of that is, it isn't surprising he'd pick a Nirvana song to do. But after they stop he said "I've wanted to do that since I was like 12". |
Yeah they played a bit of Nirvana one when I saw them.
One of the best quality shows I have is Detroit 2-5-05 (although I think the date is wrong), well it's pretty good quality anyway, and it's got Point/Keasbey Nights/Counterpoint on it. Also the show at the Bottom Lounge 7/25/04 is pretty good. Apart from that, obviously the Rutgers show is good quality. The Tunbridge Wells show is absolutely shocking quality (recorded by a dodgy mic on a mini disc player) but if you were at the UK tour you might be interested in downloading it because the setlist is pretty much a carbon copy of the whole tour, you know you might want it for sentimental reasons (I still enjoy listening to it). If you've got the Streetlight Keasbey Nights video from PunkRockVids.com, I'm in the front row in the middle there, so you might see me. If you have the Duff Muffin video from there as well, I am most definitely standing at the front there, I am ashamed to say I am the only one not moving, haha. Small person in a Captain Everything! t shirt. |
captain everything are great.
From the streetlight vids on there they look like they're great fun live, i'm fairly disappointed to have missed them |

Holden Caufield is a character in 'The Catcher in the Rye', and by "a character" I mean the main character. The book follows him around for a few days, and it's a f'ucking great book. That book has changed many peoples lives.
Hemingway- Famous writer, and pretty well known for being a dick. My favorite book by him is "A Farewell To Arms" but it's a downer book. He wrote tons though, many short stories aswell that you can find online. Salinger was the guy who wrote "The Catcher in the Rye". That was his first novel, and he never published anything again. He wrote for the rest of his life(If he died- I honestly don't know, I've looked but can never find information on him) and never published a thing. After his books success, he became a hermit from the media. Camus- Another writer, wrote things like "The Stranger", "The Plague", "The Rebel". Very good writer, he died in 1960 in a car accident driving to Paris. Some people say he drove off the road and killed himself. Honestly, I don't know. I could have the wrong person, all I know is I've read many books by Camus and he died too young. |
Catcher in the Rye is a crap book. And Salinger is still alive.
|

What, did you not read the last two pages? Those are the only two pages anyone loves. I thought the overall book was good. The kid was fun. I know one of Salingers kids put out a book he helped write a few years ago. |
His daughter put out a book about living with her crazy father... if thats what you mean.
|
No, but maybe. I read an article about his daughter putting out a book and there was a small clip of an interview were she talked about her dad helping her with parts.

I still don't understand what Tomas means when he sings "Hey their sallinger what did you do, just when the world was looking at you, to right anything that meant anything you told us you went through. What does the last few words mean? |
It's "You told us you were through" as in done. He never put out another book again.
