Does disliking SubWay Sandwiches make me a loser?
no.

it makes you exceptional.

Puma 11-28-2004 03:51 AM

You hear that mom? I'm exceptional!

Paranoidd 11-28-2004 03:51 AM

Well Riva...I still post in R&M occasionally. The problem with R&M is I really don't have the patience lately to write out thoughtful, educated, and extensive arguments or points pertaining to a discussion where the majority of posters have IQ's smaller then their shoe sizes. I start a thread about a band and it gets no replies, because they aren't Linkin Park or Jet. The most popular bands have their own official threads now and that is where the majority of the posting occurs. Half of the posts are spam BS or redundant ones that I don't care to post in. How many times can I say who is overrated/underrated, and be forced to skim through retards who have no understanding of the meaning of thread titles while trying to locate the smart people who posted.

It's retarded. Somebody posts a thread saying "what do you think of ________" and if you post anything other than "OMG I LOVE THEM" then you get all manner of idiots coming in and saying hypocritical cliche things like "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all" or "don't post here if you don't like them." They don't contribute anything to the discussion, they're simply upset at the fact that you don't like what they like. There isn't always a point in discussing things with these retards, because they either don't understand what you're trying to get across or are far too naive to realize that they're wrong. People try to tell me that I should respect and listen to everyone elses opinion, while simultaneously trying to deprive me of mine, since my philosophy is based on the fact that you're wrong, I'm right. I can't help it.

All I want to do in that thread is discuss/argue things. People always make arguments personal, so I retort, and it becomes BS. Remember Billy Talent? I posted a great argument on how crappy they are, the guys replies basically avoided the topic completely and tried to attack bands I like (he tried to say Billy Talent is better than Radiohead...please.) Not many people are there for good discussion, and thats the problem. I still lurk often though, so don't worry. I'm just alot more selective with what I post in, because like I said, I can't be arsed with the ignorant idiots lately.
Does disliking SubWay Sandwiches make me a loser?
I make a better sandwich than Subway ever could, but subway is still good.

So, yes.

Puma 11-28-2004 03:53 AM

Then I'll come clean. I've never had a sub. Ever. In my life. Does THAT, make me a loser?

DRybes 11-28-2004 03:59 AM
Then I'll come clean. I've never had a sub. Ever. In my life. Does THAT, make me a loser?
nothing per sé makes you a loser; you're just exceptional. you know, an exception. most people aren't like that.

however i would say you need to have a sub sometime. it tastes much like a standard loaded sandwich, only better. and bigger. thats it, really.

Paranoidd 11-28-2004 03:59 AM
Then I'll come clean. I've never had a sub. Ever. In my life. Does THAT, make me a loser?
Rhetorical question.

DRybes 11-28-2004 04:00 AM

I was one too early to have the 666th post in this thread.

Riva 11-28-2004 04:00 AM
Large chunk of text
Whoa. Didn't know you felt that strongly about it. Well, most of the regulars are pissed off about it as well. I personally find myself posting more in the off-topic thread and less in the other threads that appear.

I have to admit that it is really stagnant right now. It is all "best out of" and "classic rock/modern rock sucks". However, I try as best I can to sort out the noobs and bring some intelligent discussion to each thread I post in. That is why I noticed your absense. Ah well. Enjoy the pit anyway. :)

If you're wrong, do I get to take over the thread?

I've been meaning to try one for some time now, but whenever I go out to eat, SubWay is never on my list of places to go.
Rhetorical question.
I understand.

Puma 11-28-2004 04:02 AM
If you're wrong, do I get to take over the thread?
Maybe yoy should make your own thread? I could always use the ++, and I got tons of stupid questions.

Dedication, good man, dedication.

Zmev 11-28-2004 04:03 AM

Is it wrong if I ask ya 21 questions...and they all abooooout us?

DRybes 11-28-2004 04:04 AM
I wanna make an ask liberi thread. That would be fun. But then again if it failed that would be gay.
Didn't you get banned for an avatar containing homosexual intercourse that you ever-so-subtly animated?

Puma 11-28-2004 04:04 AM
I wanna make an ask liberi thread. That would be fun. But then again if it failed that would be gay.
Like I said my man, if you make a questions thread, at one point or another, I'll see it, and chances are I'll post in it until I've run out of ideas. That or until I get tired of being on the internet. Either one.

Paranoidd 11-28-2004 04:05 AM
Is it wrong if I ask ya 21 questions...and they all abooooout us?
Shoot, but if they're dumb I doubt I'll answer.

Just ask yourself questions. Pretend you have an MPD or something.

camelfarmer 11-28-2004 04:06 AM

Too many ****ing stars in here if you ask me.

I've wondered where exactly you work where you're able to get away with posting so much from work?

repped because i need to "spread my reputation around".
I've wondered where exactly you work where you're able to get away with posting so much from work?
I won't be specific, but I work for an electronics repair center where I do data entry/process claims/maintain accounts, so I spend all day on a computer. I've been there for three years and have been a manager, so I really don't need anything from anybody, including supervision. I've been there longer than my boss, he asks ME how to do things.

I'm just usually able to cram my eight hours of work into two or three, if necessary.

How my IT guys haven't detected me is beyond my comprehension, as they've nailed everyone else for doing far less than me.

camelfarmer 11-28-2004 04:13 AM

Thank you. And you are correct. Rep'd back.

You do have an obsenely high post rate.

Paranoidd 11-28-2004 04:33 AM

I know. This, however, keeps me occupied, as I can't have IM programs on that computer. Those are actively scanned for and result in instant termination. I know, because I've caught people before.

badger_badger 11-28-2004 05:07 AM

Wow, the R&M really has gone to shit. I just went in there for the first time in about 3 months, that is a really shit thing to happen to what in my opinion is the best genre of music's forum.
