Month long breaks aren't as great as they seem. The past 2 weeks have been pretty boring except for Christmas weekend when I got to see Walk the Line, enjoy a night with my family, and open presents on Christmas.

I have been able to stay up to 4 am reading though, which is so awesome. I love it when a book is so good it makes you stay up into the wee hours just reading and reading and you regret when you finally have to put it down to sleep.
I stayed up 'till 6 in the morning once reading The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, that was a really great book.

Few things better probably exist.

I really enjoyed the Belgariad series by David Eddings. They're probably my favorite books ever.

Brain Toad 01-01-2006 07:55 PM

I haven't read a good ficition in a couple months before picking up this book
And haven't read a good Star Wars book in a few months before picking this one up.

I'm such a Star Wars nerd.

Glitterati 01-01-2006 08:02 PM

I want to read The Perks Of Being A Walflower, seems like something I would identify with, hehehe....

Liebensaft 01-01-2006 08:39 PM

I need to read A Clockwork Orange, A Separate Peace, and Lord of the Flies.

Yep. I stole it from some fag on the Mario Kart forums. People are fags there.

pedro durruti 01-01-2006 08:57 PM

It has two screens?

RudeBoyStompin 01-01-2006 08:59 PM

Over the past year or so I've gotten into graphic novels. I like them better than actual books, heheh. I love books and literature but to be honest I don't like reading(like the physical action of doing so). Alan Moore is a genius, that's all I gotta say.

Seriously though, comics have got to be the most underrated medium in existence.

ACO is amazing, but the language floors you at first because its hard to understand.
It has two screens?
The DS stands for dual screen or some ****.

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 01-01-2006 09:47 PM

Lazybassplr56 01-01-2006 11:17 PM

Fuck recording takes forever and is hard.

holy_roller99 01-01-2006 11:24 PM

what are you trying to record?

Lazybassplr56 01-01-2006 11:31 PM

My band. We started recording today and it took 5 hours to do one song and it sounds like sh!t.

holy_roller99 01-01-2006 11:35 PM

kind of equipment and if you don't know how to use a mor then 3 band equalizer you are gonna be screwed.

Lazybassplr56 01-01-2006 11:51 PM

We know how to work everything it just took longer that we expected.

holy_roller99 01-01-2006 11:58 PM

di you do it all at the same time or did you try to make mix seperate tracks? besides if you bought cheap equipment then it is probably the equipment.

Lazybassplr56 01-02-2006 12:07 AM

First we do the drum track, then the bass, then the guitar. It actually sounds pretty good.

KingOfSka 01-02-2006 01:31 AM

My bassist takes videos of our band with his camera.

TakeWarning 01-02-2006 03:16 AM

Our band is arranging to have ourselves filmed next time we play.

_JR 01-02-2006 08:23 AM

we filmed ourselves during our first show. it was horrible, but so much fun to watch. we were in a middle school gym, so you cant hear anything. we kicked *** though

TakeWarning 01-02-2006 08:28 AM

My bands first gig we played Refusal by Strike Anywhere. We sucked hard.

_JR 01-02-2006 08:39 AM

we played mr. coffee by lagwagon, which is really fast for pop punk, and our drummer got tired right in the middle and no one was together.it was disastorous, but very funny

guns_of_brixton 01-02-2006 01:02 PM

Haha, the drummer got tired? Haven't you guys practiced it before?!

Jessizzle 01-02-2006 01:21 PM

I got crazy sick air today off a jump, it was like TALLER then me.

_JR 01-02-2006 01:37 PM
Haha, the drummer got tired? Haven't you guys practiced it before?!
not at full speed. we were going to play it slower so we could stay together, but we got carried away with "this is our first show" so we played fast. that was like a year ago though

Im going to Disney World! 01-02-2006 01:48 PM

Does anybody know who does the backing vocals on Weight of Time by Rise Against? I looked through the booklet and their website and cant find out. That guy has a sweet voice.
