KingOfSka 01-01-2006 01:40 AM

My first hangover was at my cousins house.

TakeWarning 01-01-2006 01:58 AM

Woah, name change.

Brain Toad 01-01-2006 02:02 AM

Happy new year faggots.

KingOfSka 01-01-2006 02:02 AM
Woah, name change.
Yep. Reference to the Desmond Dekker song.

TakeWarning 01-01-2006 02:07 AM

Yes, I know, but what was wrong with SkaBandit?

KingOfSka 01-01-2006 02:10 AM
Yes, I know, but what was wrong with SkaBandit?
I felt it time for a change. I wanted something new.

TakeWarning 01-01-2006 02:12 AM

Well, I guess. All these name changes get confusing as hell.

Brain Toad 01-01-2006 02:24 AM
Well, I guess. All these name changes get confusing as hell.
They do. Especially when the person gets more than one.

/me has gotten 2

TakeWarning 01-01-2006 02:42 AM

Serious, what was your name before Brain Squirmin' Like A Toad?

Brain Toad 01-01-2006 02:48 AM
Serious, what was your name before Brain Squirmin' Like A Toad?
It was a very embarassing name.

PunkRockLoser

I changed it back when name changes were first found out, which was a long time ago.

TakeWarning 01-01-2006 02:52 AM

PunkRockLoser isn't that bad.

I don't really like TakeWarning, in fact, I never did, I just didn't know what else I would have.

Brain Toad 01-01-2006 02:54 AM

I kind of want A DK related name since I'm not such a huge Doors fan anymore (although I just bought a Doors shirt the other day and I'm wearing it now). But I like this name as a whole regardless of the Doors refrence

TakeWarning 01-01-2006 02:57 AM

Oh, I never knew what your name was a reference to. I don't even like Operation Ivy that much these days either.

Brain Toad 01-01-2006 03:00 AM

From The Doors - Riders on the Storm

There's a killer on the road
His brain is squirming like a toad
Take a long holiday
Let your children play
If ya give this man a ride
Sweet memory will die
Killer on the road, yeah

Excursions 01-01-2006 03:03 AM

Back in the days when I was a teenager
Before I had status and before I had a pager
You could find the abstract listening to hip hop
My pops used to say, it reminded him of be-bop
I said, well daddy don’t you know that things go in cycles
The way that bobby brown is just ampin like michael
Its all expected, things are for the lookin
If you got the money, quest is for the bookin
Come on everybody, let’s get with the fly modes
Still got room on the truck, load the back boom
Listen to the rhyme, to get a mental picture
Of this black man, through black woman victim
Why do I say that, cuz I gotta speak the truth man
Doing what we feel for the music is the proof and
Planted on the ground, the act is so together
Bonafied strong, you need leverage to sever
The unit, yes, the unit, yes, the unit called the jazz is
Deliberatley cheered lp filled with streeet goods
You can find it on the rack in your record store (store)
If you get the record, then your thoughts are adored
And appreciated, cause we’re ever so glad we made it
We work hard, so we gotta thank god
Dishin out the plastic, do the dance till you spastic
If you dis... it gets drastic
Listen to the rhymes, cuz it’s time to make gravy
If it moves your booty, then shake, shake it baby
All the way to africa a.k.a. the motherland (uh)
Stick out the left, then I’ll ask for the other hand
That’s the right hand, black man (man)
Only if you was noted as my man (man)
If I get the credit, then I’ll think I deserve it
If you fake moves, don’t fix your mouth to word it
Get in the zone of positivity, not negativity
Cuz we gotta strive for longevity
If you botch up, what’s in that (***) (what? )
A pair of nikes, size ten-and-a-half (come on, come on)

Nice, I don't think I've ever heard The Doors.

Ah crap I got so much work to do. See ya later.

Their a good listen even if you don't like classic rock. They had an impact on the early punk scene. It's said Morrison stole his dress style from the VU's dancers.

Have fun working.

pedro durruti 01-01-2006 03:11 AM

What's with the ATCQ lyrics YO

Danger Bird 01-01-2006 03:34 AM

I'm going to send away for that new One Reason 7" in a few days.Just thought I'd share.

TakeWarning 01-01-2006 03:55 AM

Nice avatar Led Zep. Goddamn my legs hurt and all I did was ride about 4kms.

asdf 01-01-2006 04:08 AM

So it's just a bit past 5 AM here, and I'm spending my first few hours of '06 listening to a possibly never ending trance/techno song and eating a bowl filled with an entire bag of chex mix. Good times, eh?

TakeWarning 01-01-2006 04:58 AM

So far this year has been good. But it could get worse, my house could burn down tomorrow and my parents could die or something.

asdf 01-01-2006 05:22 AM

Out of morbid curiosity I checked out the myspace music forum.

Makes me appreciate all of you very much.

TakeWarning 01-01-2006 05:50 AM

Myspace is gay. Seriously, the amount of crap I get sent on myspace is amazing.

asdf 01-01-2006 05:53 AM
Myspace is gay. Seriously, the amount of crap I get sent on myspace is amazing.
I only just recently put my myspace to use. I only add bands to my friend list, just so I can easily get to them to listen to samples, and be updated on tour dates. Using myspace to connect to people is a joke. I don't want to by friends with strangers from myspace. Espcially after being to the forum.

I also disabled myspace from sending stuff to my email.

sketchyjoe 01-01-2006 06:20 AM

I was pleasantly surprised to wake up and find I'd downloaded some very good music overnight whilst drunk.

TakeWarning 01-01-2006 07:02 AM

Haha, like half of MX is telling everyone about their drunken adventures.

sketchyjoe 01-01-2006 07:44 AM

I'm just pissed off I managed to get through £60.

I spent all my shoes money on booze and food.

Jessizzle 01-01-2006 08:08 AM

I have lots of bruises, thats not a good sign. And I remember walking to pizza pizza, and demanding PIZZA PIZZA FIRES FIRES CHICKEN CHICKEN.
Thank god the party was moved from my house tho.

sketchyjoe 01-01-2006 08:20 AM

I fucked my throat up by screaming Erik Petersen songs at the top of my lungs when I got home.
