He has to.
You can't have a festival with no line-up

pep 05-28-2006 12:17 PM

He´s taking too long..

eug008 05-29-2006 12:22 AM

Agreed

Jev 05-29-2006 06:32 AM

Imagine if Gigantour doesn't happen this year

Apocalyptic Raids 05-29-2006 06:50 AM

Doesn't bother me :D

Jev 05-29-2006 06:52 AM

Why, because it doesn't come to Australia anyway?

Apocalyptic Raids 05-29-2006 06:54 AM

Damn straight. Although there were rumours that Dave was trying to bring it our way.

If Unholy Alliance can some, I don't see why Gigantour can't...

eug008 05-29-2006 06:55 AM

Whaaa is Unholy Alliance coming? And yeh Dave was trying to bring G2 down to AUS

eug008 05-29-2006 06:56 AM

Is anyone a member of the deth fan club???

If you are you need to post some of the studio vids for us

eug008 05-29-2006 07:00 AM

OMGOMGOMG found the site

http://rock945.com/skin/event.php?sectionId=178&contentId=14670&PHPSESSID=9b949fe2e019d72bc32648fa4f293127

Sales also wants to take the tour global and said following its U.S. run, the Alliance will return to Europe, followed by stints in Japan and Australia — although, he noted the lineups would be different on each leg.

So does that mean it's comming to AUS?

Jev 05-29-2006 07:04 AM

I hope Gigantour does tour the world.

It'd make up for me not being able to go Download.

Lord Abortion 05-29-2006 07:11 AM

Yeah, it would...and there would be actual good bands there. Not like the perhaps five that are at Download.

Apocalyptic Raids 05-29-2006 07:49 AM
So does that mean it's comming to AUS?
Yeah, although no one knows which bands will be coming. Well, Slayer is a given, but other than that....

Jev 05-29-2006 07:56 AM
Yeah, it would...and there would be actual good bands there. Not like the perhaps five that are at Download.
I counted 6 :p

But yeah i guess Gigantour would own it if the line-up was announced...

Lord Abortion 05-29-2006 08:06 AM

Cathedral, Cradle of Filth, Dragonforce, Satyricon, Opeth, A7X

You are right.

eug008 05-30-2006 12:27 AM

Dragonforce = On Ozzfest not G2

Jev 05-30-2006 06:29 AM

We were talking about Download anyway.

Rattlehead 05-30-2006 01:13 PM

i've been repeatedly listening to Peace sells recently. i always loved it, but i love it five times more now. a real work of art, IMO. that and KIMB are my favourite albums, even though there isn't a singal deth album i don't like. except maybe risk, but thats still good.

Peace Sells was the first Megadeth song I ever heard. Its still remains a personal favorite to this day.

Jev 05-30-2006 03:38 PM

Same here but I just don't like it that much. I don't get why everyone loves it.

Peace Sells is my 2nd favourite Deth album, Conjuring, Peace Sells, GMBF are all awsome songs

Jev 05-31-2006 07:07 AM

I love the album but for some reason I just can't sit down and listen to it.
I played it far too much when I first got it.

The_Oath 05-31-2006 10:10 AM

My favorite Megadeth album is Rust in Peace, pretty much all the songs are very listenable. I bought Peace Sells a while ago, and just couldn't get into it as much. About a week ago, I tried out Peace Sells again, upon my second evaluation; I find it is a damn good album. The Conjuring, Good Mourning/Black Friday, and Devil's Island are ace songs.

Lord Abortion 05-31-2006 12:05 PM

Peace sells isn't one of 'deth's best...Good Mourning/Black Friday, Devil's island, and wake up dead are great, but the title track is overrated.

Mazeppa 05-31-2006 12:23 PM

Yes it is, after years of listening it remains their most interesting albums really.

Chu 05-31-2006 09:32 PM

I think SF, SG... SW! is severely underrated here.

Apocalyptic Raids 05-31-2006 09:35 PM

It is a good album, it just takes a while to appreciate.

eug008 06-01-2006 12:00 AM

I only like In My Darkest Hour and Mary Jane, the other tracks were quite meh. Has anyone noticed that they sound quite simallar (Mary Jane and In My Darkest Hour)

Chu 06-01-2006 12:16 AM

Mary Jane, my favourite 'Deth song :chug:

How can you not love Liar?! It's just so.. Groovey... :p

Bazarov 06-01-2006 01:21 AM

So June 10th, Ellefson is coming to a local venue with his band F5 and the guy who's organizing the concert is trying to get Dave Mustaine to come down from Fallbrook, which is probably about 20 minutes away from the venue. If Mustaine comes down that'd be awesome.

Heavy Metal Kid you should try to go to this. It's only like 10 bucks... and it's a small venue, if Mustaine doesn't come down, we'd at least get to meet Ellefson. Which would be awesome.

eug008 06-01-2006 04:24 AM

I seriously doubt that Mustaine will go to a gig with Ellefson

Jev 06-01-2006 05:35 AM
I think SF, SG... SW! is severely underrated here.
Indeed it is. We all need to learn to love it more

Mustaine might go, I heard they settled it.

Lord Abortion 06-01-2006 07:58 AM

I really think that might be one of those amazing moments where they get onstage and play a 'deth song...

SFSGSW...it's a little meh for me, there are some great songs on it though.

Jev 06-01-2006 08:06 AM

Mustaine on stage playing with Ellefson?
When Ellefson's not allowed to even mention Megadeth?

Lord Abortion 06-01-2006 08:22 AM
Mustaine on stage playing with Ellefson?

Yeah, I suppose...but it would be nice...

Mazeppa 06-01-2006 08:52 AM

lol, on pain of lawyer attack

Shame though :\

Bazarov 06-01-2006 03:09 PM

I don't think that they'll play songs together. It would be awesome. But there's going to be "San Diego's Official" Megadeth tribute band called Rattlehead at this concert, and if Ellefson and Mustaine actually got up and played along that would be tits.

eug008 06-01-2006 04:37 PM

If he goes someone has to film it

Bazarov 06-01-2006 04:39 PM

Well, I'll definitely be taking pictures. Hopefully someone will have a recorder and puts it up...

I should ask on Megadeth's forum. Dave posts on there everynow and then....
