That's cool. My band is playing a show on Thursday. I doubt it'll be very big, but I'm looking forward to playing live again. It's been 3 or 4 months since we last played a show.
nice, are you going to play your new album in full? we were in the studio for a few weeks so i think it's been about a month since we've played. Im Stoked!

whitesquares 09-21-2009 06:49 PM

Doom rap is when white people try to do it.

Spiff, that band was pretty cool.

Lul. I've taught you well, young padawan.

How long/what's the topic?

Although technically, if you were following in my footsteps, you'd be starting it within 10 hours of it being due. Just sayin'.

whitesquares 09-21-2009 07:13 PM

What book is it on?

/hopes people get joke in my location

5 pages, on the link between the meaning of Keats' "On the Sonnet" and alliteration and metre.

That's true, I should be done within the hour, so I won't even make it to the 12 hour mark.

Though this is the second one today, so I should get bonus points for leaving two of them till the last minute.

We will be doing that in the future, but we're not quite ready yet. I see this as more of a practice show. We haven't played live since May or June so we need to get back into it.

We'll probably have our album release show in October and do it then.

Either way, I'm very excited for this.

And then Mars Volta on October 4th. :D

Lol. That's nothing. 5 pages... god. Must be nice. :p

That said, I don't have any essays to write anymore, so what do I know?

I've got a job interview at Zellers tomorrow... siiiiiiigh. But some work is better than no work. Can't wait to go back to school next year.

Epidemechanical 09-21-2009 08:58 PM

yeah a 5 page paper is nothing

all mine are 15 minimum along with a 50 page minimum thesis FFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

BenJammin 09-21-2009 09:01 PM

Are you doing your masters?

Hey, who's complaining? My history paper was much longer.

whitesquares 09-21-2009 09:16 PM

Keats sucks. Most overrated poet ever, aside from T.S. Eliot and Edgar Allan Poe.

Efrim 09-21-2009 09:42 PM

What was your first?

Epidemechanical 09-21-2009 10:15 PM

SHORTENED VERSION

was a history sociology double major

now i am a history criminal justice double major

:)

Epidemechanical 09-21-2009 10:17 PM

i wanna triple major sociology but they wont let me. bastards. history major isnt hard at my school. neither is sociology. criminal justice is pretty intensive with prison visits interviews research labs and whatnot but nbd nbd

only downside to history is the massive thesis project which i am not looking forward to one bit

Efrim 09-21-2009 10:50 PM

I'm a double major as well. History at my school is supposedly one of the more intense programs around, but I think that just depends on what classes you take, because I have a pretty good mix.
What area of history are you concentrating in?

funkyhoney 09-21-2009 11:06 PM

My assignments are laughably easy? 5 pages? What a joke, I think I've maybe done one assignment that was 5 pages. A lot of them are 2000 words max.

However I do have 10,000 minimum one for one unit; but that's just one unit... and it can be about ANYTHING.

right now middle eastern history and medieval

i concentrate in what is often incorrectly cited as the "dark ages" because its wide open for graduate research

funkyhoney 09-21-2009 11:19 PM

I have Emilie Simon's new album 'The Big Machine', it's good.

Nice. If I were to ever do history, that's probably what I'd go into. I had a smattering of it last year when I was doing Arthurian literature and found it interesting.

what period of middle eastern?

funkyhoney 09-22-2009 09:00 AM

Is there a store I can buy a modulus graphite neck from online? Also, will it fit an import jazz body?

funkyhoney 09-22-2009 09:10 AM

Their catalogue claims they cost $799. Scrap that idea.

gaslight 09-22-2009 09:13 AM

Yeah bugger that for a joke.

funkyhoney 09-22-2009 09:24 AM

I was genuinely interested until I found out I'd have to spend twice what I spent on this bass (minus upgrades) to get one.

Get posting dude I'd prefer not to be so high on that list :p.

funkyhoney 09-22-2009 09:33 AM

Hahahahah.

I'm almost considering *not* buying tuning keys now. I don't think Gotoh or Schaller ones will fit in the headstock. The chrome is tarnished on mine but I might just get cheap replica ones for it.

All I'm waiting for is a black pickguard to come in stock and I'll be done I believe and I can buy an acoustic/work on another project bass. Black on metallic black = awesome.
