Does anyone know how I can get drums on Audacity? I'm kinda new to recording and stuff.

There's actually an official Audacity thread in Jam Session, try there.

Vot'd

Audacity doesn't have a drum machine but otherwise, pug in a mic and play drums. If your internet connection is fast enough, get on limewire and appropriate a higher quality program.

Night folks. Votes are done as is my paper intro. Selected passages from the book have been selected. The time for sleep is here. I think I'll listen to this new Jack Johnson CD I got though. Because Jack Johnson is the freakin' man.

Illmatic 05-08-2005 10:50 PM

All right, all right, let's cut down on the spam here.

EDIT: Night DM

Illmatic 05-08-2005 10:56 PM

Yeah, Jack Johnson sucks. He's really bland and boring, but people like to confuse that with "mellow".

ATM 05-08-2005 11:44 PM

I agree, Ray. I love chill music as much as the next guy, but his music just doesn't do it for me. I just made my girlfriend a mix:

Explosions In the Sky - Your Hand In Mine
Radiohead - Where I End and You Begin
Kasabian - Benefical Herbs
Nine Inch Nails - All the Love in the World
The Shins - The Past and Pending
Kings of Convenience - Gold In the Air of Summer
Matisyahu - Chop 'Em Down
Radiohead - Knives Out
Kings of Convenience - Surprise Ice
Iron and Wine - Such Great Heights
Iron and Wine - An Angry Blade
Explosions In the Sky - From West Texas
Iron and Wine - Jezebel
Nick Drake - One Of These Things First
Bark Psychosis - The Loom
Slowdive - When the Sun Hits
Kings of Convenience - Know How
Iron and Wine - Gray Stables

Endless Obsession 05-08-2005 11:45 PM

I like about....0 of those songs.

ATM 05-08-2005 11:46 PM

Good thing I'm not dating you :)

Permanent Solution 05-08-2005 11:47 PM

I like maybe 1/3 of it, though I haven't heard much more than that heh.

ATM 05-08-2005 11:48 PM

What haven't you heard?

I've learned about so many new bands through the alternative/indie forum.

ArcLite 05-08-2005 11:54 PM

I've heard OF most of them, but haven't listened to, or don't like most.

ATM 05-08-2005 11:55 PM

Fair enough. It's just suppoused to be a chill mix.

Yeah I lied...I don't even know 1/3...I like Indie, but I'm content with the amount I have, and it's all good stuff...Death Cab, Modest Mouse, Cursive, Kashmir...there's quite a bit, and it's all good, but I'm way into Hardcore atm so meh.

ArcLite 05-09-2005 12:07 AM

Oh, Chris, I've been meaning to tell you...I no longer have Friday off, so I won't be able to get there until like 6 or 7. Bastards.

Wtf, why not?

That sucks, man.

Heh, it was an error on the calendar. Oh well, I'll get up as early as possible, power-load on coffee, and drive fast.

Captain Jack Sparrow 05-09-2005 02:18 AM

Sup all?

NP: Guns N' Roses - "Welcome To The Jungle"

clown_phobia 05-09-2005 02:36 AM

Pink floyd : the wall (another brick in the wall part 1)

Captain Jack Sparrow 05-09-2005 02:38 AM

NP: Guns N' Roses - "Paradise City"

My band plays a wicked cover of this song.

clown_phobia 05-09-2005 02:44 AM

Awesome! Thats one of my favourite GNR songs!

Captain Jack Sparrow 05-09-2005 02:44 AM

Mine too.

We had a cover of Skynyrd's "Freebird" coming together pretty well, but then our slide guitarist quit the band last week, so that's the end of that.

clown_phobia 05-09-2005 02:51 AM

how come he quit?

Captain Jack Sparrow 05-09-2005 02:53 AM

He was tired of our female vocalists. To be honest, the rest of us are tired of them too. We don't have anyone lined up to replace them though, so for now we're back to one guitarist. We're going to have to cut all of our blues songs now too.

clown_phobia 05-09-2005 02:54 AM

Well Cream played blues with just one guitarist...

Captain Jack Sparrow 05-09-2005 02:56 AM

Yes, but that's Eric Clapton. Josh, sadly, is no Eric Clapton.

clown_phobia 05-09-2005 02:58 AM
