Yeah, I really like the drums alot. I just find it hard to do fills, when I'm playing a fast song. I always mess it up

yeah but you are still limited into a certain rhythm where in guitar you can have like 4 even 5 different riffs in the song, but if you had more drums it would just sound all jumbled.

then again, Ive been playing guitar longer then drums so I still dont know too much about drums. So I dont have a huge say in it.

Well...drums are actually easier faster than slower heh. As far as staying in time and such.

But with drums, you can be as technical or basic as you choose to be without changing the rhythm. You can just add complexities and subtleties. I'm basing this on 6 years of guitar, a little over 2 on drums.

Funny thing is, most of my beats are half composed of fill-like motifs. I like being all over the place.

But if I'm playing like a punk song or a sort of fast metal song with my friend, I can't do a fill in the middle or anything. It's hard to explain what I can and can't do when typing.

That's just practice. Speed comes with practice. Timing is harder to get down and requires more than just practice to nail.

It'll take awhile but once you can flow smoothly into them you'll be a lot more comfortable. Just work on transitioning into a few easy ones and work from there...stuff like:

It's easier to pick up drumming if you play bass. For serious.

I just got back from watching 24. Pretty good.

Anyways, I'm no good at drums. I have a really old set, but I rarely play because they are really crappy. I need new cymbals, new heads for all teh drums, a resonant for my bass. I just think it would be easier to buy a whole new kit. But, not having a job kinda screws over those plans.

I have looked at Ebay before and there doesn't seem much there. I could always just suck it up and play with the kit I have. Just when I break one of the heads, I'm screwed. I should really get out there and get a job.

Well, I'm not that great at learning by ear. I usually need some sort of sheet music infront of me.

Well, I need to get a job, save up some money and go to a music store and get some new drum heads.

So today i bought the "best of Madball" CD, i've never even heard them before, i've just heard of them, so i got it, it's good though.

Madball is really good.

It sure is, the vocalist is somewhat annoying though, but i'll get over it.

On the back and in the booklet there is like an essay written by a member of hatebreed on how awesome they are.

Grr, old simpsons sucks. This one has been on 10 minutes, and ive Lol'd once.
