Take no prisoners is possibly my least favourite track on there..apart from Poison was the cure.
I agree on the Take No Prisoners, but not on Poison Was The Cure. I like that song.

Jev 05-23-2006 04:27 PM

I used to, don't now.

Nepenthe 05-23-2006 04:28 PM

I assume I still do. I haven't given anything off of RIP a listen in months. In fact, I haven't given any Megadeth a listen in probably 4 or 5 months.

Drone 05-24-2006 10:15 AM

I listen to Megadeth every day :D.

eug008 05-24-2006 04:26 PM

TNP is a great track IMO

Bazarov 05-24-2006 04:52 PM
I listen to Megadeth every day :D.
Everyone should.

Lord Abortion 05-25-2006 01:59 AM

I listen to them alot...but possibly not as much as I should.

/shame.

Apocalyptic Raids 05-25-2006 03:21 AM

I don't listen to them nearly as much as I used to.

Enlighten Me 05-25-2006 03:32 AM

I love Take No Prisoners, kickass riffs.

Five Magics Has some crazy solos.

Father 05-25-2006 04:08 AM

I dont think i will ever get fed up of Tornado of souls.

Jev 05-25-2006 05:58 AM
I listen to Megadeth every day :D.
I used to.
I still love them, but it's something I can't manage.

Drone 05-25-2006 10:38 AM

Well sometimes I can't either, but if I am at my house all day then I have no problem managing it. I also like both Poison Was the Cure and Take No Prisoners!

Bazarov 05-25-2006 02:39 PM
I don't listen to them nearly as much as I used to.
Was it you that said that RIP was the best metal album? If so.. do you still think that?

GenuineImitation 05-25-2006 09:19 PM

I think RIP is one of the best metal albums.

Apocalyptic Raids 05-25-2006 09:22 PM
Was it you that said that RIP was the best metal album? If so.. do you still think that?
Equal best with Painkiller and Bonded By Blood.

Bazarov 05-25-2006 09:26 PM

Okay.

Apocalyptic Raids 05-25-2006 09:29 PM

I did used to considering it the best though.

Chu 05-25-2006 10:51 PM

Can't stand Bonded By Blood :p

Apocalyptic Raids 05-25-2006 10:57 PM

If you don't like Bonded By Blood, you are not my friend.

:p

Bazarov 05-25-2006 10:59 PM

When I first heard it.. I was like, "meh, nothing special." But now I really love that album.

Britton 05-26-2006 12:39 AM
When I first heard it.. I was like, "meh, nothing special." But now I really love that album.
That's how all of their albums have been with me.

I still have learned to like the world needs a hero though...

Chu 05-26-2006 12:55 AM
If you don't like Bonded By Blood, you are not my friend.

:p
Pffft :p

Meh, I find the guitar boring and the vocals to be somewhat annoying.
I know a few Exodus fans, and when I told them I couldn't stand Bonded By Blood, they said I should check out any one of their newer albums (My main dislike is the vocals, so maybe they got a new vocalist since?), or something similar.

To be honest, I was quite gone, and much of that night has become a blurr.. :p

Apocalyptic Raids 05-26-2006 01:00 AM

The guy who did vocals on BBB (Paul Baloff) is dead, and BBB is the only album he is on. Try some songs off Fabulous Disaster, I think you would like that.

We're talking about Exodus.

*go's to bed*

eug008 05-26-2006 02:09 AM

Thats pretty much the same with me, i didn't really like BBB but "Tempo Of The Damned" by them is quite good. Scar Spangled Banner is a sick song.

Chu 05-26-2006 03:12 AM

Someone once did a Featured Artist on Exodus (Apocalytic Raids' maybe?), and included a mailing list of a few songs...

He had a little bio for the songs, and one of the songs Kirk Hammett helped write... For some reason the name 'Tempo of The Damned' rings a bell, if it is, I had a listen.. I didn't really like it :p

Jev 05-26-2006 05:22 AM

Same here.
I was amazed when I first listened.

Yeah, I did a write-up on them once :D.

The song which Hammett had a hand in writing was Impaler, which is off Tempo Of The Damned. The riff he contributed is the same one that in under the first solo in Trapped Under Ice.

Jev 05-26-2006 06:32 AM

Hammett only contributed to one Exodus song?

Chu 05-26-2006 06:35 AM

I'm a stoner, my memory isn't too bad considering! :p

Apocalyptic Raids 05-26-2006 06:44 AM
Hammett only contributed to one Exodus song?
Well there is about another half-dozen demo era Exodus songs which were never recorded on an album. He may have contributed some more there. Fun fact: While drinking one night Kirk, Gary Holt, Paul Baloff and Tom Hunting decided to each cut their hands and pressed them together. Gary and Paul wrote the song Bonded By Blood about it, and Kirk still has the scar on his hand.

Now that I think of it, I remember hearing that a couple of parts of Creeping Death may have been in early Exodus songs, but I'm not sure.

Lord Abortion 05-26-2006 10:04 AM

Yeah, Metallica stole the bridge from "Dying by his hand" for Creeping Death.

Jev 05-26-2006 10:05 AM

And I bet there's millions of people like me who didn't even know that

GenuineImitation 05-26-2006 10:05 AM
Yeah, Metallica stole the bridge from "Dying by his hand" for Creeping Death.
They stole that? Thats the best part of the song and they didnt even write it.

eug008 05-26-2006 09:06 PM

Impaler is a boring song IMO

eug008 05-27-2006 07:08 PM

Has anyone heard any of Chris Polands stuff?

victim of changes 05-27-2006 07:30 PM

No, but Friedman's.

dr._feelgood 05-27-2006 07:34 PM

Does anyone know when Dave's going to announce the Gigantour line-up?

eug008 05-28-2006 06:47 AM

Damn I really need to hear some of Poland

WeezerTool523 05-28-2006 07:08 AM
Does anyone know when Dave's going to announce the Gigantour line-up?
He said by the end of the month, but I don't see it happening :\
