I can't stand harsh vocals like that, aside from Late Death and Morbid Saint, so it pretty much ruins At the Gates or any similiar bands like that for me :angry:

I like Melodic Death, but you're right, Gothenburg just doesn't cut it for the most part.

I like Arghoslent and Arsis, and a couple of Arch Enemy songs. Thats about it.

I can't seem to get into Arghoslent for some reason. But I love DT, early In Flames, Arsis is good, Quo Vadis pwn...I guess those are my big four for MeloDeath.

Those bands vocals don't bother me because they aren't EXTREMLY Br00tal or whatever, I don't like screaming (like Arch Enemy vocals) or Death Growls (like Cannibal Corpse)

Taking Over came through the post today, not as good Under the Influence or Years of Decay imo but I still love it :)

I have been informed that Overkill is touring around Western Canada in September, and they will be performing at the Warehouse in Calgary on September 13.

Really great for me to hear that, have always wanted to see the 'Kill live, and now I'll be able too, with their new Hades drummer as well

I wanted to see the 'Kill live, but they're playing on a Wed. night in Sept., and it's like a half hour away + traffic x_x and trying to actually squeeze into a parking spot.

Well, if all goes well, I'll be sure to see them sometime later in the future. That is if they do a farewell tour.
