Just play and experiment a lot, find out all sorts of chords, experiment with different rhythms and get to know your instrument. After a while you get a feel of what to come up with that flows well with something else and pieces just evolve.

Check out Drifting and check out his tribute to Michael Hedges called The Friend I Never Met.

He is one of my favourite guitarists right now. Still in his twenties and just awesome. More musical than Don Ross I'd say.

I think the neck's warped. The action is ridiculously high from about the 10th fret and up even after an action and multiple truss rod adjustments.

I couldn't find any info on it but it's not that bad for only $50. I picked it up in a pawn shop a few months ago.

I like it. The colour isn't doing it for me but the bass itself is great.

It looks really purple in those pictures.
It actually has more a of a blueish look.
