Some power/traditional bands I recently have gotten into:

Area 54, Astral Doors, Avian, Beyond Fear, Chromium Blitz, Domination Black, Pharaoh, Thunderstone... I can upload something if you're interested in any of them

I couldn't really get into the Beyond Fear album. It seemed like I had heard everything before, but unoriginality doesn't usually bother me.

Just got my tickets to see Kamelot+Epica on the 30th. :cool:

Epica, not so much. Kamelot would be awesome.

Epica's better than some support (cough Leaves' Eyes cough), but Kamelot would be seriously bitchin to see live. I can't get tickets or a ride, and the show's in 5 days. :mad:

The new Dream Evil isn't that good, for the guy who inquired.

Have you ever seen Epica live? They not too great, though the vocalist is nice to look at. Seriously Epica is one of the most borring live acts I've had the pleasure of seeing (about 5 times now).

Never really got into Kamelot, listened to The Black Halo and a few other tracks. While it was good, really didn't leave any strong impression either. Two friends of mine are pretty big Kamelot fans, so i might go with them.

I remember sometime last year one of them wore their new Kamelot Tshirt at least 4 days in a row

Epica has better music than Leaves Eyes though, so I'd rather see them. Plus, Simone >> the singer for LE.

Of course, both Blind Guardian and Kamelot should ditch their support and coheadline together.

The River are the only female-fronted band I can remember liking off the top of my head.

I don't mind female voices, hence my love of Therion, but it's just something about all the Evanescence, Nightwish, After Forever, Epic, etc style that sets my teeth on edge.
