Old & In the Way - Pig in a Pen

^Shows off Garcia's crazy banjo skills, and some of his vocals.

session9 09-16-2004 10:24 PM

I like The Small Faces, Free, early Floyd. Don't know why I posted that, but I did. So there.

lunch998 09-17-2004 12:36 PM

I'd rather go Zeppelin vs. the Who, but I could argue for either the Grateful Dead or the Allmans.

Yes, Post count 148 in this forum. Comeback time.

Badmoon 09-17-2004 02:48 PM

We could do um both, but when?

BludgeonySteve 09-17-2004 02:49 PM

I can't be here at 6:30 :( Guitar lesson followed by basketball practise.

Edit: i mean 6:30 for me, Which was when we were supposed to have it,

lunch998 09-17-2004 03:24 PM

But where else can you celebrate without getting flamed to hell?

BludgeonySteve 09-17-2004 03:47 PM
But where else can you celebrate without getting flamed to hell?
Exactly.

Badmoon 09-17-2004 03:57 PM
Look who finally decided to show up. Badmoon is that Aim album trade tonight?
Hey! I have school!

Yea it's tonight :)

BludgeonySteve 09-17-2004 04:02 PM

Badmoon if you have any time can I get the second half of that album now?

Badmoon 09-17-2004 04:09 PM

Lets do it now.

lunch998 09-17-2004 04:25 PM

Grateful Dead vs. The Allmans (at some time no one knows yet)
Who's in?

BludgeonySteve 09-17-2004 04:47 PM

I really don't know if the allmans are more skilled. I was mainly thinking of just guitar. I'm not sure about bass, drums and keyboards or anything.

Badmoon 09-17-2004 04:51 PM

I wouldn't exactly say guitar either.

Betts > Weir

Garcia = Allman

Garcia > Betts

Allman > Weir

That's how I see it, of course I won't completely explain myself now. I'll save it for the debate.

BludgeonySteve 09-17-2004 04:54 PM

I have to leave in half an hour anyway, might as well debate now.

Badmoon 09-17-2004 05:15 PM

We can do it tonight if were not sick of each other after the trade chat.

BludgeonySteve 09-17-2004 05:27 PM

Yeah, I don't know, we didn't do much debating as just talking.

Let's see, I have to leave in 7 minutes and I wont be back for 5 hours,. Possibly another time would be good.

Broken Arrow 09-17-2004 05:29 PM

I'm in, but I would prefer to be on the Allmans Side.

In Opinions of Voices:

Gregg>Jerry

BludgeonySteve 09-17-2004 05:32 PM

I prefer Gregg's voice. But how do you really judge vocal talent? Other than somebody's vocal range there are no other ways.

Broken Arrow 09-17-2004 05:34 PM

Yeah I meant I like his voice better

Badmoon 09-17-2004 05:46 PM

Well, for one, The Dead has various vocalists. Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Pigpen, Donna Jean Godchaux.

I like Jerry's voice, matches the music good. It may not be as good as Allman's though.

Broken Arrow 09-17-2004 05:53 PM

Well yeah I like Jerry's aswell but its nothing to Greg's

Badmoon 09-17-2004 05:57 PM

You act as though Greg's is amazing. It isnt that great.

Broken Arrow 09-17-2004 06:14 PM

What????????????

I only said he was better than Jerry

Creedence Clearwater 09-17-2004 06:17 PM

Creedence Clearwater 09-17-2004 06:21 PM
no one sings better than bob dylan

Your the one from the Bob Dylan thread, awesome, carry on......

MalcolmYoungRock 09-17-2004 06:34 PM
