Rollo47 04-20-2005 10:16 PM

Hello

Where did DFIA get to? He was going to send me Stuart Hamm songs.

PaulSimonon 04-20-2005 10:18 PM

I think he went to bed maybe?

Rollo47 04-20-2005 11:50 PM

Maybe. Anyone else got a whole bunch of Stu Hamm songs, or an album they would be generous enough to send me?

Either through YIM, MSN, email, whatever.

good rats 04-21-2005 12:13 AM

I have a few, not a lot, only got Country Music, Count Zero, Moonlight Sonata, Quahogs anyone and the last one is just called "bass solo"

Rollo47 04-21-2005 12:23 AM

Nah, I have those ones. What I was really hoping for was a full album, seeing as I don't seem to be able to download entire albums by him off LimeWire.

ElKapitan 04-21-2005 04:02 AM

Thunder Fingers 04-21-2005 08:47 AM

MasterofBass 04-21-2005 08:54 AM
i think i might just have ordered meself a guitar along with a new pair of bass strings....
:amaze:

How did you manage that?

ElKapitan 04-21-2005 08:55 AM

i wish i had the money to just order a new bass :upset:

Thunder Fingers 04-21-2005 08:55 AM

Louder El.Guitar Strat copy(i was so happy with the louder el bass i had, it was truly hard to send it away..) and Sadowsky Roundwounds 45 - 105.. the guitar is realy cheap, but i hope it is fairly good(i tended to come back to my bass, i even put my jackson away for 3 months...) its a guitar, it works to start on...

Thunder Fingers 04-21-2005 08:55 AM
:amaze:

im pushing the price right now... :p

ElKapitan 04-21-2005 09:00 AM

i'm sorely tempted to buy a cheap a$s guitar off EBay and convert the hell out of it, just so i have one for alternate tunings

MasterofBass 04-21-2005 09:02 AM
im pushing the price right now... :p
NICE... let me know how those strings are in comparison to Rotosounds :thumb:

Thunder Fingers 04-21-2005 09:03 AM

only rotosounds i have used are their flats...

MasterofBass 04-21-2005 09:05 AM
only rotosounds i have used are their flats...
Ok. I haven't tried the flats yet (going to when I get a 4 string this summer). But still tell how they are.

Thunder Fingers 04-21-2005 09:06 AM

i will.. i can compare them to elixirs wich im using right now though ;)

MasterofBass 04-21-2005 09:20 AM
i will.. i can compare them to elixirs wich im using right now though ;)
Ok. I have used Elixirs before, and I love them. I only don't use them now only because of my tendency to break strings, so I don't want to drop $50 on a set of strings when I can spend half of that for a set of Rotosounds that I think are just as good.

Side note - I haven't broken a Rotosound Piano 99 ever yet.

Fernandes Power 04-21-2005 10:00 AM

Do you dig Elixirs, martin?

ElKapitan 04-21-2005 10:05 AM

quick question on strings, what guage do u recommend for tuning to D standard? at the moment i haven't changed the original set when i first got it BUT i'm not too sure how well they're holding up

Thunder Fingers 04-21-2005 10:07 AM
Do you dig Elixirs, martin?
minus the thing that they "change ham" on my fretboard, they are fairly nice yeah.

MasterofBass 04-21-2005 10:45 AM
quick question on strings, what guage do u recommend for tuning to D standard? at the moment i haven't changed the original set when i first got it BUT i'm not too sure how well they're holding up
hmm... for that on my bass, 45, 65, 85, and 105 works rather nice, but i got a 5 stringer, so add 130 on the top...

if you're going to be in D standart all the time on this bass, I'd say try like 110, 90, 70, 50, if a set comes in that guage. I do know that GHS heavy guaged for a 4 string are 115, 90, 70, 50, and those are great for downtuning..

hope that helps you.
